About Sushisamba

SUSHISAMBA celebrates the culture and cuisine of Japan, Brazil and Peru, with locations in Amsterdam, Miami, Las Vegas and London.

Sushisamba Description

Only at SUSHISAMBA will you find a unique blend of Japanese, Brazilian and Peruvian cuisine, music and design.

Only at SUSHISAMBA will you find a unique blend of Japanese, Brazilian and Peruvian culture and cuisine. SUSHISAMBA is born of the energy and spirit of these three distinct cultures; a tri-cultural coalition that took root in the early 20th century when thousands of Japanese emigrants traveled to South America’s fertile soil to cultivate coffee plantations and find their fortune. In bustling cities like Lima in Peru, and São Paulo in Brazil, the integration of Japanese, Brazilian and Peruvian cultures flourished.

This cultural phenomenon launched a culinary coup. Hearty moquecas and colorful seviches found a place at the table alongside simple miso soup and tender sashimi. SUSHISAMBA serves these traditional dishes, plus more inventive fare, including sawagani, tuna tataki and anticuchos. Equal parts imagination and history, the SUSHISAMBA experience is truly unique.

SUSHISAMBA swung its doors open in New York City in 1999. Since then, the restaurant group has celebrated over 15 years of singular, soulful style and superlative dining, proudly opening locations in Miami Beach, Las Vegas, London and Coral Gables.

Beating at the heart of every SUSHISAMBA is a deep appreciation for enjoying life and celebrating with friends.

We are deeply saddened by the news of Anthony Bourdain’s passing. The incredible storyteller, adventurer, and friend. Rest in peace.
“The sun was setting over Sugarloaf beyond the dark turquoise water by the time I’d scraped every last morsel and mopped up the beans with a crust of Portuguese-style bread. Samba music was playing faintly in the background; beachgoers covered themselves with simple wraps and waited for the busses that would take them home, or strolled down the ...boulevard looking for friends and drinks and music. Lovers held each other by the waist wordlessly, friends chatted, hookers posed, food arrived at other tables, disappeared, was replenished. Bossa nova insinuated itself from the café next door, the chopps flowed, older couples sipped strong Brazilian coffee and stared blissfully out to sea. I sat for hours, perfectly content for a brief time at the center of the world."

the service and food great. made my cousins hen do the best. views amazing!!

User

This is not an restaurant, this is a food experience! Book in advance is recommended, it was fully booked when I was there but as a solo player I managed to squeez in at the bar-kitchen. Very nice outdoor bar (on 38th floor) with fantastic view.

Have checked off Amsterdam, London and popup at HongKong now, only LasVegas and Miami left to go

User

Perfect evening! Couldn’t fault the service! Nicottes name was on our bill and if she was the short dark haired pretty waitress she was exceptional!

Views amazing, food excellent, presentation second to none!

Great experience very happy customer!

My son wanted to come to this restaurant for his birthday. I left it for two late so I couldn’t book online. I decided to call and the receptionist was ever so nice she managed to booked us a table. We got there and my son was over the moon. Service was amazing and they even sang happy birthday to my son which was a real surprise. We planning to come back again because we couldn’t take pictures on the balcony as it was close already.

Good vibes and great cocktails recommend Batida De Mango £14.00 - with this one you get what you pay for 😉 enjoy it also has a good live dj and great bar staff. Going in a couple or a fav cousin, friend, work colleagues that you can talk/relax all night I do recommend. 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼

Excellent in every aspect, amazing food and location. The place is a bit expensive but worth every pence.

User

Delicious and delectable cuisine, drinks, breathtaking views over London City and welcoming and relaxing atmosphere.....Not to be missed so go for it now!

Best japanese food ever. We tried several different dishes and all of them were superbs.

The staff were all nice. We sat by the windows, reservation were made several months in advance.

As we are pensioners we cannot afford to visit as often as we would like, so We like to treat ourselves on special occasions. It was our wedding anniversary and again we were not disappointed. We were greeted at the entrance and shown to the lift. Upstairs we were greeted again and shown to our seats by Demitri. He looked after us for the rest of the evening. Our favourite drink is gin. He showed us the gins on offer. Some we already had some we hadn't. First drinks excellent second drinks excellent as was the third. Before we had ordered our second drink we saw Demitri looking and smelling certain gins, not realising he was sorting out what drink he would make up for us. That is what we call an excellent barman. He managed to find time for a little time to chat about where he came from when we asked him. We had a great evening hope to be there again in September for my birthday.

User

Amazing views, great food, staff were excellent from start to finish, a lovely meal!

User

Amazing staff, bar, restaurant, food and views of London. I was visiting from Sydney and took my friends out for a belated birthday present and thank you for hosting me. Thoroughly recommend it and hopefully I will get an opportunity to return again.

A delicious mix between Japanese food and Bresilian !

Great experience, I highly recommend 😍

best sushi in town , great service , magical place and friendly staff

I went with my husband to celebrate and had a great chateau du tour 2015 , enjoyed a great meal and told my husband we will have to bring our family and friends to this magical place

On the way out I wanted to get a photo of the magical red tree , the security guy was so rude and intimidating to my husband with his body language and staring at him , he was trying to pick a fight basically , he almost ruined the evening and I was quiet upset but I complained to the manger who was a real gentleman and he apologised ( It was not his fault )

User

Great staff and service. Expected mediocre service but really was blown away. A must go to spot downtown. Great view as well

User

We’ve been here a number of times and have really enjoyed the experience. This time around not so good, the place seems to have gone off and most staff have a superiority complex. Not good when you’re spending £1000 on lunch for four!

User

Location/view, the best! Sushi, good but had better. Deserts, to die for. Service, surprisingly slow and sub par, not very attentative, took forever to get a drink (aside from the very lovely blond girl who was polite and full of smiles)

User

We came for a birthday meal but were very disappointed, not with the food which was amazing, but unfortunately the service let the place down! We never got our whole order, and despite the abundance of waiters walking past our table, no one took our empty plates for over 20 mins, the California rolls we ordered never materialised, we were not even offered desert. It was like we had become invisible! not what I expected from this place!

User

I have been to Sushisamba before for Valentine's Day with my boyfriend and had a lovely time.

Most recently I booked a table for a party of 3 with a friend coming into town from Washington DC and myself and my boyfriend.

I would warn anyone ordering to be careful and use a torch to view the menu prices!

It is incredibly dark in the restaurant!

Both my fellow guests wanted steak and the waiter recommended a particular ribeye..little did my fellow guests realise it was a £337 ribeye!

For myself , i ordered the yellow tail, which I always have at Zuma, Californian Maki and the Poussin.

The food is indeed delicious but the bill made our eyes water! £946!

We all grabbed a cab and went straight home but I was up in the night with vomiting and Diarrheoa and woke the next day with enormous , puffy eyes.

Having made a compliant to the restaurant about my allergy/ food poisoning they conducted an independent review which came back to be quite contradicting in it's assessment.

It stated that from my symptoms I probably had 'Scombrotoxic' fish poisoning, then went on to say that as the food hygiene and prep is faultless at the restaurant the restaurant cannot be held responsible!

I cannot imagine where else i may have got raw fish poisoning!

Disappointed with the restaurant over this as they refuse to refund us or take any blame for my illness.

Shall never go again!

Shall stick to Zuma and Hakkasan

User

The food was amazing and it is such a shame that the terrible service meant that we could not wait to leave the place!!! Although the Manager tried to rectify the issue the waiter (who is totally to blame for missing items and missinformation on the portions on the trays served) NEVER ONCE APOLOGISED (?!?) and tried to make it sound like it was our fault.. although we were offered desserts on the house by the Manager, we could not wait to get out of the place !! Im totally aware that mistakes can happen.. but not owning them and on top of it trying to accuse a table of paying customers that 'maybe we did not understand' is an outrage.. not what one expects from a place that serves £1000 a kg of beef!! After this, WE LEFT IN A HURRY!
