Kate shared about the dilemma of the early Christians struggling with the dilemma of whether they should eat the meat available to them in pagan Greece that we read in 1 Corinthians. They were caught up in religious rules and were ignoring the real issues around them. ’The bigger issue, we are reminded of looking at this passage, is about freedom and rights- just because we have the freedom or rights to do something doesn’t mean we should- we need to be concerned by the needs of others, to help others to live well and show them love. We need to ask ourselves some questions (pictured) and to learn to Love God and love others and show this in all we do in our community.’ @ Sutton Salvation Army Church
