A Swiss locomotive comes to Snowdon, marking 126 years since the trains were last together.
Switzerland Tourism and Switzerland Travel Centre will bring a fully functional locomotive from Brienz Rothorn Railway in Switzerland to the Snowdon Mountain Railway in Llanberis, Wales.

On a recent trip to the Canton of Appenzell, our colleague Angela took a trip to Äscher Wildkirchli in Ebenalp.
Visitors can journey on the Appenzell Railway then ride up on the cable car. From the top, the path leads through the prehistoric Wildkirchli caves - inhabited around 40,000 years ago - and winds down to the hermitage and the f...amous Aescher mountain guesthouse, built onto the rock face, are both sure to impress!
