Tadstar - Mot & Auto Centre - Cumbernauld

Some nights we have to stay back to repair our own vehicles. We had a little bit of a crunch in 5th, as it turned out the gears had completely gone. Luckily Richard had a spare gear box and the knowledge to make a good repair with the box still in to keep us moving.

A little bit of late night brake piping on a good work horse.

Never one to be put off by not having a ramp, just a quick check and adjust of the wheel alignment. Luckily ther was enough space for Richard to fit underneath

Oooo she's the longest one we’ve had in yet..although well within weight we thought size might just beat us...nope, we managed. Just in for a check over and a coolant change before a trip out next weekend

A nice family day out turned out sad. They had pulled up at the fair in Stirling for a nice afternoon but lost power. It turned out the plastic intake pipe had broken. Luckily Richard our top Mr.Fixit made a top temporary repair to get them back to the fair for candy floss and some rides.

A nice 1998 Saab 9000 just in for a minor service and a brake fluid change. Lovely old car.

We like a challenge, this came is as a non runner, but a spark plug change and some fresh fuel sorted it right out.

This lovely Jaguar XK8 came in to us with one cat blowing and a poor repair on the cat at the other side, luckily Richard was on hand to break out his fabrication skills. He cut out the old corroded pieces and made up 2 new ones and welded them in. The XK8 is now back to purring like a kitten again. #tadstargarage

We're starting the week with a spring in our step. David our top diagnostics technician is taking few faults noticed on its service last week.

One more in for some MOT repairs, sadly we couldn't get a new exhaust section as it has been discontinued, but not to worry our technician/fabricator Richard was on hand to make up a new section to make this ready for summer again.
