Bang on trend again! It’s so nice to see how we keep doing the right thing for our clients. Whilst this kitchen was opened up to create more space, adding the dining area and connection with the garden to bring more light in, the living room was kept separate. @timesproperty reported this morning that whilst “for the past 10 to 15 years, the trend for larger spaces have been big”, “now the closed living room is having a renaissance”. “It seems that families still value the feeling of space and light, but they don’t want to hear the dishwasher when flopped on the sofa after a hard day’s work”. In addition “Smaller spaces are easier to heat and cool”. “So while open plan isn’t dead, it is certainly evolving” and our designs are moving along with the times.

Loving the fabrics and contrasting piping we selected for this chair in one of the guest bedrooms for our Nine Elms project

Dinning area in our kitchen extension in Ealing. Really loving the glass wall wrapping around the corner. The same tiles from the kitchen were also used in the garden, thereby extending and connecting both spaces further. Coving conceals LED lighting, creating a soft glow at night. #rearextension #kitchenextension #interiordesign

Trend Alert: Dark Green continues to be a strong colour this season. Late last year we covered these chairs in a plush green velvet and now we are being inspired by shades of jade, olive, sage and teal... keep an eye on this feed for colour boards coming up. #trendalert #darkgreen

Great article today @timesproperty about the interior decoration with a “residential feel” @theprincipallondon, 5 star hotel. Nice to see some common denominators with our recent #FilmerMews project. The use of Crittal doors, millennial pink and near-black paint make our design of the development right on trend. Art has the ability to transform a space and infuse it with personality. At Tailored Living art takes centre stage in our compositions and we often like to integrate it with the room colour palette. Here the art picks the room accent colour. #art #artandinteriors

It’s all about the space ultimately . In the Master Bedroom En-suite at Filmer Mews we introduced an open plan bathroom.
