This was a fantastic day two years ago, and promises to be just as good again. We hope you can join us - this will be in place of normal Sunday services on 14 July. ❤️
Just a few weeks to go - hope to see you all there! 😁❤️
Have you been thinking about being baptised? Baptism classes start on Wednesday 3 July at 8pm and you are welcome to come along. You don’t have to attend with your mind made up, but its an opportunity to think together about the significance of baptism and to ask questions. Anyone is welcome. To find out more, email Sally.Allen@tonbridgebaptist.church 🙏💦❤️
Calling all TBC-ers: Come and join our local Football Club after the morning service on Sunday 23 June and help spruce up their grounds, where just next month Tonbridge Sunday Funday will be taking place. You’ll be painting, clearing weeds or carrying out general maintenance, no special skills necessary!🌱⚽️❤️😊
🦙🐩☺️❤️
I was nudged towards “A grief observed” by C.S. Lewis after my dad died (I didn’t even know I had it on my shelf!). This slender book is weighty in content as Lewis battles with himself and God after the death of his wife. This journal-style book doesn’t offer lots of answers necessarily, but it does drag us through the variety of emotions we can feel when someone close to us dies. It’s well worth a read if you have lost someone or if you want to understand some of the pain people might be going through. We will be thinking about the topic of death in the Sunday evening service on 7th July with panel-style interviews and a sermon around the theme “Finishing well”. Hope to see you there! - Neil
We loved this short video that gives a powerful perspective on praying 'Our Father in heaven', while a worldwide prayer initiative begins today. 🙏❤️
Hope this is in all your diaries! ⚽️⛹️♂️❤️🙌
We thoroughly enjoyed celebrating each other’s successes at the brilliant Girls Brigade and Boys Brigade joint awards evening last week. The theme was ‘A night at the movies’ and each group did a presentation based on the theme. We had some great feedback from the parents that attended.
Thank you to everyone – leaders especially – for your hard work. You did a fantastic job! 🎬📽😎🤩❤️
We'll be meeting at Haysden Country Park this Sunday at 10am, and Jon Knight will lead the walk, which will take an hour. Please feel welcome to bring friends and family, and dogs. ☺️🌳🐿🐦🥀❤️
We loved, and wanted to share this painting from Fiona and Jocelyn Tolhurst in response to Neil's sermon on 'The Kingdom of God'. They were thinking about how we blow the seeds (in our actions and our words) - and Jesus (shown here in the sunrise) decides where they go and causes them to grow. 🎨❤️
This FREE life-changing course which helps bring freedom from addictions, secret habits and compulsive behaviours, will be held in TBC from September. You can book your place now at https://www.recoverytwo.org/tonbridgecour se
A blessed Easter to all our friends and family. ✝️🌄❤️
If you haven't made it to one of our Easter film nights yet, (or even if you have!) we really recommend "Son of Man" which will be showing on Thursday 18th at 8pm. This movie was a nominee at both Sundance and Warsaw International film festivals and a winner at the Alliance of Women Film Journalists. It was also reviewed as being “one of the most extraordinary and powerful films at Sundance”. Do we need to say more? (Except of course that it’s free, and refreshments will be provided.) Everyone is welcome - click on the image to let us know you’re coming for catering purposes.😁❤️
There'll be opportunities to be baptised on Easter Sunday 21st April at our 10am and 6.30pm services.
If you've been thinking about getting baptised but you have some questions, please email Sally.Allen@tonbridgebaptist.church and we'll arrange to chat. Else simply come along next Sunday. 🙏❤️
We loved this Reuters picture and the accompanying thought from Justin Welby!
