Good evening all!
Just a few reminders below RE Finals Weekend and the new artificial clay courts
Finals Weekend - 1st/2nd September
... The itinerary for the weekend was kindly sent out by our Club Secretary Asha, will I will also copy below for convenience.
The BBQ will be running over both days, and the Saturday night party will be with our very own famous in-house DJ Jack Marskell, and food from our favourite restaurant Prem. The cost will be £10 on the door with a kick off at 7 p.m.
If anyone can lend a hand to volunteer ay any point over the weekend, please fill in the flip-chart in the clubhouse or let one of the committee know!
Court Replacement
Our President, Scott has been working tirelessly in order to ensure the courts are completely in a timely manner and is away this week meeting the contractors on Thursday to dot the proverbial i's.
The courts are NOT available for play this week but should be available for this coming weekend (25/26). With such a big refurbishment, opening times can always get slightly delayed and either myself or our Secretary Asha will let you know about any further updates.

Congratulations to our Women’s 6th team on being runners up in their division and getting promoted to division 6 next year. Great effort from all the team and especially our brilliant captain Heather Yates for getting so many new players playing and enjoying their tennis this summer.

Congratulations to our Women’s 1st team who have been promoted to the premier league next year coming top in the intermediate division. Also top job from our men’s 2nd team who have won division 1 and are now promoted to the intermediate division next year. Well done to all the players and especially the captains on a great season.

Well done to our Women’s 1st team who had a brilliant 24-0 win against Paddington 2’s on Friday night. Great effort from Kate Obrien, Lisa Patman, Sophie Curthoys, Donna Smith, Jenny Marlow and Geri Cummins for a faultless display of top tennis. Best of luck to all the teams this week playing matches.

Congratulations to our Mens 6th team last night winning 22-2 against Twickenham 4ths in very hot conditions. Our Mens 3’s had a close loss to Brentham 1’s on their grass courts 14-10 but its another good amount of points on the board. Hard Luck to our Women’s 6th v Gunnersbury 3’s who were just to strong on the night who won 15-9. Best of luck to our Women’s 2’s away at Brentham and Our Women’s 4’s at home to Will to Win Lammas Park 2’s this Friday. The bar will be open this evening for the England match from 6.30pm and tomorrow for our home team match so if you want to come down and support either evening then brilliant as the weather is looking perfect. Come on England

Men’s 1st team are playing Lensbury 1’s tonight at home from 6.30pm. Our new redecorated bar will open as well so come down and enjoy some brilliant tennis whilst enjoying a drink in the sunshine. Our top team for tonight is Zino Arbane Jack Caso Tom Dixon Henrik Petersson Jack Richards and David Mackie. Best of luck guys. Congratulations to our winning teams this week. Our ladies 1st won 22-2 away v Camden Hill 2’s, Ladies 2’s won 16-8 at home to Hartswood 1’s, Ladies 4th team winning 15-9 away V Hartswood 2’s and Ladies 6th Team winning 17-7 away v David lloyd acton park 4’s, Men’s 3 won 19-5 home v Queens 2’s, Men’s 6th won 14-10 away v David Lloyd Sudbury 1’s. Hard luck to our ladies 3 who lost to to a tough Gunnersbury 1’s team away 19-5. A great week for the teams so well done to all the players and captains.

Well done to our Women’s 2’s who won 16-8 last night against Hartswood 1 in a tough Division 1. Well played Fenella Sams, Anne Peters, Lisa Patman, Kirsty Thompson, Georgie Treen and Carolyn Edwards on your great result. Best of luck with your next match.

Congratulations to the Men’s 3rd team in a really tough division 1 on a huge 19-5 win against Queens Club 2. Well Done. Best of luck to the Ladies 1’s who are playing this evening away at Camden Hill. Home matches this week are Ladies 2 v Hartswood 1 playing Wednesday 20th and our Men’s 1st team are playing against Lensbury 1st team on Friday 22nd. Come down and support and enjoy the quality tennis on show.

Our Men’s 3rd team are playing Queens 2nds at home this evening. Our top team out is Alex Maye and Ben Williams, Alex Plumb and Richard Laundy and Chris Alabaf and Charlie Garrett. Everyone welcome to come and support and the football will be showing in the clubhouse as well.

What a day for the kids and coaches from our Schools Competition. Over 200 children receiving free coaching in the local community at their schools with a final competition between them at our club for the selected teams. Congratulations to Collis primary school for being our Grounds Company Schools Competition 2018 winners.

Another amazing year 3 Schools Tournament completed. Thank you to the Grounds Company for funding this brilliant community event with over 80 children participating from 4 local primary schools. Congratulations to Collis who scored the most points against SMSP, St John’s and Trafalgar. Well done to all the children for participating and working brilliantly as a team. Thank you to James Mohan our schools tennis co-ordinator, our coaching team Anthony Mills, Jack Caso, Zino Arbane, Chris Alabaf, Katrina Ledderboge-Vucinic and all the students and parents who helped on and off court to make it such a successful event. We’re already looking forward to next year.

Congratulations to the Men’s 2nd team on a great 24-0 win this evening against a good Ealing team. Everyone played unbelievable tennis. Best of luck for their next match.

Come down and support our Men’s 2nd team tonight who are playing Ealing 3’s. Our top team is Anthony Mills and Jack Marskell, Jonny Williams & Dave Mackie and James Mohan and Simon Lacey. The bar will be open as usual and we look forward to seeing you there if you can make it.

Brilliant to see a great turn out for social tennis this evening with lots of players from our teams. See you Thursday 6.30-10pm if you can make it.

Another amazing summers evening for high quality social tennis for team level players as well as some club champs matches in progress. Great to see 3 new members join in this evening who all said they had a brilliant night mixing in for the first time.

A brilliant end to our Tennis for Kids course with all the parents getting on court testing their skills against their children. It’s been an amazing week and such a great way of introducing children to tennis. We are looking forward to seeing everyone back on court next week.

This club is 1 of the most unique clubs around. Having 12 teams (6 men’s and 6 women’s teams) playing in high divisions it’s great to see so many team players down for social tennis. However there are players and sessions for all standards and a bar that is the cheapest around (£2 a bottle of Peroni what a bargain). As Head Coach here I couldn’t be prouder of being part of truly 1 of the best clubs around. Look forward to seeing current members and anyone looking to join us on court very soon.

The best club I have played at in 40 years of tennis. Great atmosphere and very high standard of play. Brilliantly run with lots of fun events and very encouraging to youngsters too (my son also plays here).

Teddington Lawn Tennis Club is large in membership, but with a cozy and very friendly feel. Excellent courts and efficient management. Highly recommended!

I've been a member there 12 years, and haven't once considered joining another club. Excellent friendly atmosphere created by the members, with a fantastic coaching team and committee set up that has helped make the club one of the best in Middlesex.

Great club, great atmosphere, fantastic coaching staff for adults, kids, experienced players, beginners and everyone else in between! I travel 40 minutes from home to play here and can’t recommend it highly enough!

As well as tennis that’s both top quality and Corinthian in spirit, the club inspires: passion; good humour; comradeship; life-long friendships; and more than its fair share of weddings. It’s been doing this since I joined in 1982, and well before then according to former players who still visit despite having not set foot on court for decades. To the volunteers who’ve run the club for the past hundred years, and those who continue to do so, I salute and thank you.
