You can always tell it's going to be a good afternoon tea when the scones are served with clotted cream (not whipped) and macaroons! And the rest of the selection didn't disappointed either. The sandwiches were made from lovely fresh bread, tasty fillings and a selection of lovely chutneys. The cakes were homemade and all yummy. Loved the mini picnic bench everything was served on and what we couldn't finish was kindly boxed up for us to take home. We really enjoyed it thank you and will certainly come back again x

We regularly visit the tea room after a walk around Tegg's nose. Lovely tea room with friendly staff and the cakes are beautiful too! Lucky to live in such a lovely part of the country :-)

User

This tearoom is a wonderful addition to Tegg’s Nose. Scrumptious food, great atmosphere and always a warm welcome. Last went with a group of 8, including kids, all soaked to the skin and dripping everywhere- they never batted an eyelid. Highly recommend xx

User

The tea room is fantastic. In all weather, the tea room offers a quiet place to enjoy a brew and every changing food and delicious cakes. The facilities are excellent, they have high chairs, toys for children and are breastfeeding friendly. Excellent job all round

User

The cafe serves good coffee and has vegan cakes, what a bonus.

User

My little girl and I come and spend Friday afternoons there to talk about the week that was and to plan our fun weekends. The cakes are full of gorgeousness and I especially love the hedgerow tea

User

Love Tegg's nose tea room. Have been with just the family and with a group of 30, the staff are so friendly and the cakes are amazing. Just fab.

User

I would definitely recommend anyone to come here, the food was amazing and service brilliant. We got married at the weekend in Cumbria and for our honeymoon we are having day trips as we have kids. We did orienteering in the country park and had pre-booked afternoon tea at Tegg's Nose Tea Room. The food was gorgeous. We especially loved the added personal touch with the Mr & Mrs heart, thank you so much for making day one of our mini moon so special

User

I regularly visit the tea room with my children and dogs and can honestly say that each time has been absolutely lovely! Good quality tea, delicious food (the cakes are heavenly!) and friendly staff. We also love popping into the exhibition room to see what’s on. A real gem.

User

I regularly visit the tea room when walking my dog on Teggs Nose. The tea and coffee are top quality, the food always fresh and well presented. I love that you have dog biscuits too!! The tea room is a fantastic addition to Teggs Nose, I was so happy when you opened! Love the log burner in winter too!

User

I love this place! They have the best Mocha I have ever tasted, and the cakes are awesome! Not to mention the staff are so friendly and kind. Definitely a gem of the north!

I had noticed that the new tea rooms had opened a while ago and had been meaning to visit for ages so we planned a stop midway on our biking route to call in to try it out.

We were wet and cold on arrival and couldn't wait for a nice hot drink and some food - we weren't disappointed! The interior has a lovely warm feel to it. Really nice tables and chairs and lovely breakfast bar type seating in the windows overlooking the country park. The menu was a welcome surprise too. We had expected there to be the usual sandwiches/soup/tea cakes etc, but there were come really nice options which you wouldn't come across in a normal tea room. Instead of the usual Ham/cheese/Tuna etc each option had a lovely little twist to it.

We opted for the Turkey toasted sandwich and Mackerel Pate as well as the Carrot & Coriander soup to share as we wanted to try a few things and were hungry after climbing over the Cat & Fiddle :) Everything was perfect. It really makes a difference when locally sourced good quality bread is used and things are homemade. I think the menu changes regularly which is really good as I think people like to try different things.

The lady who I believe to be the owner was really friendly. Service with a smile really makes a difference! The only criticism I could make would be that it was a little cold inside. There was a big log burner and heaters, but it didn't seem to give off a lot of heat to dry us off. Also, having the menu available beforehand via a website/Facebook would be good? Otherwise very happy customers who will certainly be returning to try something else very soon! It made my day :)

I am a student at Derby and me and my mum always go out of our way to go to the cafe on our way to Derby and equally on the way home to the Wirral. Sod the M6. The sandwiches, soup, cakes and most importantly the tea, especially blue sky earl grey, are absolutely amazing and with such a beautiful surrounding what more could anyone ask for! The staff are always wonderful and patient as it takes us forever to choose what to order. Love it. Go here!

User

First time here we normally go the one further down but wow what a find, great place and good home cooked food and cakes, and the sites are amazing plenty of parking (fee but disabled free) and good walks all around will return soon 😀

User

Enjoy popping in here with my dog after a walk. So was very pleased to hear they did afternoon tea! Visited yesterday with a few family members for my nan’s birthday, so we booked afternoon tea as a treat for her, and it was absolutely delicious from start to finish. & Laura’s blueberry cake was beyond words!!!! Thanks so much xx

User

Can' recommend Teggs Nose Tea room highly enough. An all weather cafe with delicious home cooked food with plenty options for us gluten free customers. A very friendly and inviting atmosphere.

User

Absolutely love Tegg’s Nose tea room, always delicious food, scrumptious cakes and really lovely staff who make it a great place to go.

User

A great little place which tries hard to give variety - gluten free, vegan etc. Goes the extra mile in winter time to stay open too.

User

Walk over from Bollington with friends quite a lot , yesterday we got there at 1:50 , could only be offered crumpet, cake or tea cakes , advised there was no bread or soup

I know you have “special bread” but could someone not have just popped down the road to macc to replenish even with normal bread

Not impressed and have now decided to try other cafes/pubs on the 8 mile route
