Wonderful welcoming team, great food and very reasonably priced.

We were greeted by friendly members of staff and welcomed warmly. We had a beautiful room with a cosy bed and a huge bathroom. We struggled to pick our dinners as the menu looked delicious, we chose the goats cheese pannacotta, crayfish and blue cheese salad, belly of pork with beetroot mash, venison with baby vegetables and croquette potatoes and managed to squeeze in puddings of lemon parfait and tonka bean pannacotta. All were scrumptious! Lovely cooked breakfast the following day too in your amazing Well Room. Thank you for a wonderful, relaxing evening in your beautiful pub! Highly recommend.

We visited The Angel for Sunday lunch on the occasion my son's 21st birthday. There were 9 of us, ages ranging between 14 and 77 years old with some very fussy eaters! The food was incredible and the staff were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble even with our fussier eaters. Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning soon.

I emailed this evening looking for assistance with arranging some rooms for my wedding next year - the service was brilliant � I had a call from Jade within 5 minutes of sending the email and she talked me through all of the options available - I really couldn’t have asked for more and myself and my bridal party are all so looking forward to staying here next year �

Flawless service and food. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left everything was perfect. The attention from staff waiting tables, the bar staff, the food. 100% best service i've had. Food was absolutely delicious also. Will definitely be coming here again.

Brilliant. 14 of us all served on time, all meals hot, all meals delicious and homemade, and the staff were wonderful. Only niggle was that the special sea bream was a smaller portion than the other mains. Otherwise absolutely excellent, we will be back 😊

I hosted a party here on Saturday evening for a large number of friends and friends, ALL the staff went ABOVE and BEYOND to ensure a memorial time was enjoyed by everyone, and that the evening's celebrations ran perfectly smoothly.

Absolutely brilliant. We had a great afternoon in the lovely garden, followed by a very tasty dinner in the evening. Our room for the night was really nice and a beautifully cooked breakfast the next morning. Would highly recommend a stay here. The staff were all incredibly friendly & very attentive. Looking forward to another visit.

A beautiful establishment that is worthy of every one of its 5 star status. The staff are friendly and so helpful. The food, well, my partner summed it up whan she said "it's that good you never want the meal to end"

I don't know enough adjectives to adequately praise the quality and taste of the food. The atmosphere is relelaxed and that fire place just adds to the overall ambience. Simply put, outstanding!

We visited on Saturday for a birthday meal. While I couldn't fought my meal the service was terrible. One of our parties soup starter was cold and the steak was supposed to be medium well and came out rare. Then served with the wrong fries and again had to wait for the skinny ones. The jug of water never arrived and the lad serving us to start looked completely out of his depth. Fortunately someone more experienced took over, however, it did hinder the dining experience and was starting to get cringe worthy. The place was packed but I don't feel this was an excuse for the amount of things that went wrong. On the plus side the gin and tonics were mega!!

Nice pub, friendly staff but I just found it outrageously expensive and being from London it's not as if I have unreasonable expectations. Tiny sandwiches with no sides to speak of, one child's meal and three drinks (two alcoholic) somehow came to £45. Other meals from main menu were small and we left still feeling hungry. Felt ripped off unfortunately.
