Afternoon tea was nice and cocktails coming out your ears.Staff were AMAZING..making sure you were ok and drinks topped up as soon as your glass was empty.

General atmosphere of the place is just quirky amazing.Magician was cool as hell too.Thankyou for a great afternoon x

The cocktails and the afternoon tea � wasn’t very good but the cabaret was really good!

avoid if doing afternoon tea food not great drinks horrible given very dirty cup and friend was given i drink with a used straw.

Worst experience ever!!!! I called them a couple of weeks before our booking to confirm what our dietary requirements were i.e. I'm a vegetarian and my friend is a vegan. They confirmed this was fine. Turn up on the day, and the cakes and sandwiches were plonked in front of us without the server telling us what was in them, after we were sat on a dark corner of a table with another set of diners. I had to chase down the server to ask what was in the sandwiches as I'm a veggie, the server said "oh that's ok, there are mayonaise sandwiches there." !!!!???? I have never in my life just had mayonnaise sandwiches! How pathetic! And when i pushed for what my vegan friend could eat, the server said they'd bring something, half hour later, they bring down a plate of just branston pickle sandwiches!!! When I reminded them my friend couldn't eat the cakes, as they had cream in, they came back with 3 rice cakes!!??!! Still we hadn't even been given a drink! I was so embarrassed and completely insulted. I spent alot of money for what essentially was a pile of crap I wouldn't give to a child! The cakes were shop brought and stale, the scones were burnt underneath and the cream tasted off! no refund! No apology! Absolutely rubbish! Do not waste your time or money going here!!!! You will regret it, trust me, because I certainly do! ���

Waste of money. Choice of 4 cocktails all total rubbish, don’t think they had any alcohol in them at all and the cabaret consisted of a bloke singing( I use that term very loosely ) endless cocktails for 3hrs!! We lasted 50 mins and that was 50 mins too long.

This must be the worst place I have ever been to . If I could give no stars I would. Trading standards need to take a look at this place as false advertising

The Spanish owner told me he prefers not working with Afro-Carribean promoters after a few bad experiences..... When I questioned his reasoning, he tried to explain his way out. I was then put in touch with their ‘head office’ who made up something about bar spends and that was the reason they would not host my event.

Skye (there wasn’t a job she didn’t do to help out), Soz (honorary barmaid) & the singer (who was also serving tables) were AMAZING!



The rest of it was a complete joke!! There are no words to describe our afternoon tea experience yesterday.



Thank you to the 2 lovely ladies who we shared a table with for making it such a fun afternoon full of laughter!

I organised this for friends who now think I hate them! Back to the pub next door for a gin& tonic with actual alcohol in it! We will definitely remember this one and not in a good way!!

We visited the Aviary Bar on Sat 30 June for Afternoon Tea. We waited approximately 20 mins to be asked what cocktail we wanted, seems they only have one menu! Then about another 25 mins before we actually got it. When the food arrived it was laughable, the sandwiches were awful, the bread was hard, and the fillings were unrecognisable. The 3 mini cupcakes were quite clearly shop bought and the scones were too. Can’t believe this place charges £29 per person, I wouldn’t give u £5 for the food. When we complained we were told that Lucy was the manager but funnily enough she was nowhere to be seen and doesn’t respond to emails.



We have also complained to Groupon and asked them to delete this deal from their website

Appalling, don’t bother (shame there’s no a 0 star option) �

After arriving for pre-booked afternoon tea and cocktails we were squashed into a dark and dingey room where we waited for the food to arrive.

Weeks in advance we advised that one of us was vegan. The waitress seemed surprised and said she would ‘go and make a sandwich’.

Out came floppy white bread triangles containing pickle and apricot jam. �

When we enquired if there were any vegan cakes, 3 rice cakes were presented.

This was for £29! We could choose from just four cocktails- the mojhito was apparently made using mint syrup and not even real mint leaves.

The other food was equally awful. A stale scone with a charred base and cheap shop bought mini cup-cakes.



We walked out, explaining the reason was our extreme disappointment. This is honestly the worst plate of food I’ve been offered and to pay all that money, plus £40 in train fares.

Absolutely awful experience. Waited 45 mins for a flat, no flavour, no alcohol undrinkable mojito. Sandwiches were slung together with next to no filling. Tiny cakes were dry. Scones were the only edible offerings ! Totally misrepresented by the advert. NEVER again.
