What a lovely place with really lovely people. Made to feel welcome. The food is out of the world some of the very best pub food I've had. The gardens are spectacular and the setting beautiful

User

Well what can we say?! The blacksmiths arms was the perfect setting for our wedding reception!

Chipps you were absolutely amazing, so friendly and you helped us arrange our day using your fantastic contacts and even introducing us to Phil who was our epic wedding band (Firefly!). You answered every query we threw at you and you remained very cool calm and collected, thank you so much! We are both so greatful for your help and support! We have certainly made some lifelong friends with you all there!

A huge thanks to George and co for preparing the wonderful food for our wedding breakfast and the BBQ for our evening guests, it was so so yummy! You are all wonderful people and you all worked so hard, we are forever greatful.

Thanks again and lots of love

We went today for the first time and we had great home made food, amazing location despite the poor weather, they allow dog so my Honey was happy, but more than anything, very friendly and welcoming staff! strongly recomended!

User

We held a joint 90th birthday Sunday lunch/party here yesterday. Can't thank Chipps and the staff enough for giving us a lovely day.

Nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was served up quickly and it was plentiful, hot and absolutely delicious. Plus, it was all served up simultaneously for 30+people. Hats off to the chef because it was hot day! Everybody thoroughly enjoyed themselves & we cannot recommend "The Blacksmiths Arms" enough.

We live in Wiltshire, and when we next visit relatives in the area, we will be back!

Thanks again Chipps and your staff, you helped give the 'birthday girls' a day to remember!

Plus, you've got a lovely country pub there!

User

Visit this pub every few months for Sunday lunch; always very enjoyable. Food high standard, service good, ambience nice, gardens and flowers outstanding throughout the year.

User

Turned up this lunchtime without having booked a table. Staff were brilliant and found us somewhere to sit. Have to say it was well worth the visit, the food was amazing, and the pub is just what you imagine a good country pub to be. We will definitely be back

User

Took my Mum there yesterday to see all the beautiful flowers there, out of this world!

Enjoyed a lovely drink.

Sitting there my Mum saw a photo of our lovely friend Vicki,we could have sat anywhere, but buchan e we sat there!

So it was meant to be God Bless Vicki.

Will be going back to try the lovely food soon.

The pub was hosting a Scooter event and it was very busy, however the service and food was excellent. We attend this rally most years and the wife will always attend with me when I promise lunch. Highly recommend.

User

The food is great and well priced but can get busy so best to book. The garden is beautiful and a great place to sit drink and relax

User

Our lovely local that is always so friendly, great new beer and cider on tap and the added extra that they allow us to park up our horses when we ride there!

User

Old fashioned English run pub. Good food , lovely gardens and a park at the back for the kids. Always been lovely. Xxx

User

Just a lovely pub great atmosphere and beautiful garden. The food is fresh home made and delicous. I can not praise it enough.

User

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. We visit this pub often and it is lovely. Yesterday we took our family for Christmas lunch. Firstly they made special arrangements for us when they were fully booked. Although very very busy the food was excellent as always as was the attentive service. The Christmas decorations are awesome. Dot is a treasure. A wonderful place. Could not recommend highly enough.

User

I have never been to this Pub before, but my friend has. The staff are friendly.

We sat in the Beer Garden & had a few drinks on a nice spring sunny afternoon. The garden was filled with so many flowers and looked beautiful. Looking forward to going back to this Pub very soon.

User

Great pub full of locals and visitors alike. Nice beer, great food and good service from friendly helpful staff. Went to the charity weekend music festival there “The Cudham Craic” what a great day/night... The Blacksmith Arms definitely knows how to put on a mini festival...Outside were well run bars, food, activities for the kids and the bands were great!

User

Great place for lunch, lovely food, very nice and attentive staff

User

Great unpretentious pub for a Sunday lunch with choice of ales and simple menu but delicious and well cooked food served in generous portions at reasonable prices. Lovely garden at rear is lovely setting with beautiful floral decorations throughout. Service was excellent – staff were attentive, polite and helpful and meals served promptly even though busy. Car park is a bit tight for room if busy.

User

We have been coming here for a few years now with our walking group mostly for birthdays. Last night we did the same and a few of us had a meal. Previously the Fish Pie has been something to behold and, frankly, last night fell below par. Our impression was, maybe things are a little tight or there is a new chef, either way not good. I only mention this dish but my steak pudding was not fantastic.

It was a Saturday night and Rob had his 30th in the side bar, we had 15 in our group. If neither of us had been there it would have been a bit quiet? I seriously hope things get better.

User

Lovely pub & gardens.

Wonderful food could understand an hour wait for our dinner as busy and we were a table of 10. But we gave up waiting to be asked for dessert orders even though we had all chosen so went to neighbouring pub.

I have never been to this Pub before, but my friend has. The staff are friendly.

We sat in the Beer Garden & had a few drinks on a nice spring sunny afternoon. The garden was filled with so many flowers and looked beautiful. Looking forward to going back to this Pub very soon.

Lovely pub & gardens.

Wonderful food could understand an hour wait for our dinner as busy and we were a table of 10. But we gave up waiting to be asked for dessert orders even though we had all chosen so went to neighbouring pub.
