We had our sons 18th birthday party at the Brave Nelson. We had an area in the lovely garden. Nothing was to much for the staff. They were all friendly and accommodating. The food was lovely as well. The garden was brilliant with the children’s play area for our younger guests. Would highly recommended this pub.

Lovely family pub with a huge beer garden which my kids love, the food was tasty, the drinks were cold and the staff were friendly....what else can I ask for from my local pub

I love the pub been going in there for years we live right opposite now have been for 9 years we actually bought off the couple who used to have the brave nelson we are pensioners now and never ever had a problem with the pub we would never have moved there if we thought we would ever have a problem with it but today I had an aultercation with an idiot young well so called man but he was a complete idiot I came home today after doing the school run for my daughter tried to get on my drive but he decided to make it awkward for me for some unknown reason and he was determined to have an aultercation with me he said he was waiting for someone to come out of the brave nelson and he said was not going to move but he eventually moved forward so I could get on my drive he was a very unsavoury type of idiot god knows why he was being so aggressive but eventually he moved on but no one came out of the brave nelson and he drove away . I went in the brave nelson to see if he was waiting for anyone and guess what no there was no one in there and it's all on camera also the number of his car I just hate bullies like him picking an aultercation with an old aged pensioner who the he'll does he think he is the thing is I would never have gone in the brave nelson but because he said he was waiting for someone to come out of the brave nelson I had to go and ask and guess what he was lying there car park was empty it was 4pm and no one was waiting for him he was lying

Heard a lot about this Pub lately, all positive. New Manager who has some really good ideas for the future. I would recommend a visit to see for yourselves.

Had my husbands 50th birthday celebrations at the pub tonight . Great evening brilliant atmosphere Thank you to Faith Kieron and staff for a really great night .

Absolutely love this pub, fantastic place to bring the children. In fact I have to say it's actually better then the park. Kids!! You can run free and play together all day!! There's even a bouncy castle, swings and slide. Play shops underneath the slide and bring a football to have a kick around. Choose your favourite food from the children's menu.....oh and don't forget mum & dad too!!

Great pub to take the kids, if service for food and drink was a bit faster it would be 5*

The pub attracts a lot of underage drinkers, as there is no security on the door and no Id requested at the bar.
