It is never too early to start thinking about Christmas. In this case your Christmas cake. This year why not have something unique in the form of your own personalised pile of edible Christmas presents? Made from delicious rich fruit cake, matured in brandy, the parcels can be made unique to you with your families names on the labels.
Prices start from £65 for the size of cake shown here which would provide roughly 15-20 servings. Free delivery in the Harpenden/St Albans area. To reserve your cake send me a message here or visit www.thecakemanharpenden.co.uk

*** BIG FAVOUR *** . My sister-in-law needs your help!!! The Muldowney Christmas Light Show (a fund raising effort very close to The Cakeman's heart), has reached the 2nd round of Energia's "Most Christmassy House in Ireland" competition & need to be in at least 3rd place on Monday morning at 10am. All The Cakeman needs you to do to help out, is click on the link below, then like the photo! Simples! And if you fancy sharing this post to generate more likes - even better!
The ...winner receives €2,000 for their family & €2,000 to their charity - which, if won, would be added to the monies already raised for Mercy Oncology funds.

I was asked to make a Thomas the Tank Engine cake. I came across this train set on the internet and thought, why not combine it with the cake...

Fender guitar cake - quite pleased with how this one turned out! To order your own cake like this visit www.thecakemandulwich.co.uk

For anyone wanting to get a real high quality finish on their cakes - I can't recommend these two products highly enough.
Carma Massa Ticino Tropic fondant is better than any other product out there, as is the Cake Dutchess modelling paste. Both are a little more expensive than other brands, but you really get what you pay for. I won't be using anything else in future!

The Phantom of the Opera is there, inside my mind...

For anyone interested in how to create the perfect Tiffany box colour in icing you require three parts of Sugarflair's Turquoise paste to two parts sky blue. Add an edible bow and job done!

Wedding cake with a difference! None of your traditional white icing here. Bottom layer was lemon sponge, middle layer carrot cake, top layer and mushroom bride and groom were chocolate fudge cake. I was particularly pleased with my handmade edible wafer paper flowers!

You probably haven't heard of Tayo. He is a small blue bus from Korea. After ordering a toy Tayo from Korea I set about making a full size version of his toy bus station. See the comparison to the original below, all edible including Tayo and his friend!

Monopoly - everyone always wants to be the dog, even more so when you can eat him! Have your own Monopoly cake personalised to your design.
