We have just had our daughters 21st party there, brilliant, highly recommend, the staff all lovely and really helpful, the food they did was amazing, thank you all so much.

The same exceptional standard of wonderful service and delicious home cooked food as the chilthorne domer site but a completely different vibe... found the Sherborne one to be completely relaxed and chilled and is exactly what this area needs... a place for the whole family for a more informal meal that isn't a chain! If I lived closer, would definitely be my local � The owner in particular went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Many thanks for a wonderful evening!

Most definitely the best pub in town , definitely what Sherborne needed the staff are brilliant so friendly always made to feel welcome and the food is exceptional , wanting a nice relaxed evening with fantastic food then the carpenters arms is the place to go.

Lovely food plenty of it tasted great staff very friendly won a £20 voucher so me and hubby went out for a meal without kids.. certainly recommend to all my friends. Only down fall the restaurant was a bit cold as front door was open quite a big draft coming in !

Have been here twice already for food- a birthday meal and catch up with friends. The food is brilliant and the chef goes above and beyond what you expect, catering for every need and is really friendly and professional. Recently redecorated and a relaxed atmosphere, would definitely recommend to others!

Has to be one of my favourite pubs. When I couldn't pick what to eat (because there was so much choice), the boss/chef let me have a bit of both of the two meals I was indecisive about! Not many places you can say will do that. Love the food, love the staff. Always look forward to visiting.

Had a wonderful meal last night with some friends. The food was amazing and the staff very pleasant, particularly the chef/owner. Will definantly be returning! Would highly recommend this pub for great food!

Great place to eat and drink. Staff are very friendly and efficient. Landlord is the best in the area. I cannot thank them enough for all the great service we have received, making us feel welcome and part of the community.

Great place love the Chef Steve as he personally takes interest in the orders and tailor makes your meal... celebrated my birthday there and had the most wonderful choice for my friends

Had a wonderful lunch here for my Dads birthday .. we were a group of 11 .. plenty of choice on the main menu and the specials menu too .. food was lovely and plenty of it .. staff were helpful and very friendly , nothing was too much trouble .. will definitely be visiting again �

Went there on Saturday for some food and was told by the surly barman that the kitchen was closed. The website clearly states that the serve food from 12 until 9pm. When I said this to him he said it didn't. Well they need to change the website then ��
