This FREE ENTRY night features some of the best upcoming original artists and acts in the locally and nationally.
- FEMMEPOP -
... Femmepop is singer songwriter/producer Margaret O' Sullivan from Ireland. She writes, records, performs, produces and mixes her work, with comparisons to Lovefoxx, Kavinsky, Bat For Lashes, Madonna, Cocteau Twins and The School of Seven Bells - a plethora of sound. Her critically acclaimed debut album 'From A Girl Who Never Sleeps' was mixed and mastered by renowned Gavin Monaghan. The Single "Timescapes" was included in BBC Radio's Tom Robinson's Best Songs in December! A collaboration with Robert Parker resulted in the Single "Not That Kind" and further airplay in Japan. 'Yellow Lines' was featured in Tom Robinson's BBC 6 Music Mixtape. Femmepop was nominated for 'Best Female Solo Artist' and for 'Best Single' at The PureM Awards in Dublin. The 'Underground' EP was released in January 2016 with BBC Radio Ulster Featuring 'There Is A Place' as 'Track Of The Day'. Her second album 'Dancing With Myself' comes 'Highly Recommended' by RTE's highly influential Dan Hegarty. She is currently playing Europe with the album visiting cities such as Barcelona, Berlin, Paris and London. The Metro UK has compared Femmepop's music to that on something similar on the Netflix series 'Stranger Things' Soundtrack. Femmepop is featured on the Soundtrack to Swedish Film 'Videoman', directed by Kristian Soderstrom with the Soundtrack on Lakeshore Records. Her forthcoming 'CYM' EP is currently being mastered.

- SHANA & THE NINJAS -
Shana & The Ninjas are a four piece funk rock band from Guildford/London. We have been together for around a year and take huge inspiration from artists like Red Hot Chili Peppers and Primus.
We have a lot of experience performing and have played all around venues and pubs in Surrey. We have a growing following and are able to bring a decent crowd along to support us.
We recently finished work on some demos, but we hope to do some more professional recordings in the near future and release some songs across all major platforms

- LATE LAST NIGHT -
Late Last Night formed in 2017 when best friends Jamie, Sam and Tom decided to switch up from busking around London for 4 years, and step it up to a full band, after each toured the UK band circuit with previous bands in the past. Initially starting out as an electronic pop trio, they've now settled into an indie pop punk sound that drives through each of their songs, stacking layered harmonies with catchy melodies, melded with punchy bass lines. They are now currently playing the London circuit and looking to tour in 2019.

Their variety of repertoire means that they’re not only for the jazz purists but for anyone who likes a thumping groove and a roaring horn section.

Flying Machines are alternative rocks new alternative. Laden with an enterprise of emotion, and unending fondness for the stage, the band have been writing original music since it's formation over moonshine and afternoon tea in 2013. - DITSEA YELLA -
Traditionally, Ditseayella were made of bone, often backed with bamboo. Ditseayella are still available but most modern sets are constructed from various plastics such as bakelite, celluloid, and more recently nylon. Regardless of their material, the symbols are almost always engraved to their songs. Some expert players can determine their face value without actually looking at them by feeling them with their fingers.
The self-proclaimed "Shit under your shoe", Ditsea Yella are a buzzing 2 piece electronic duo with energy, attitude and flair.

The Cav is my second home and I love everyone there :) Best comedy venue anywhere, ever!

My wife and I came here becuase of a Groupon deal that we found online. It included a choice of 2 of their pizzas or 2 of their gourmet hotdogs or one of each, 2 orders of chips and 2 alcoholic drinks and first choice of seats for the comedy show. We absolutely loved everything! We love these quirky type pubs that are a bit off the beaten path. The BBQ chicken pizza and sweet chili chutney dog were DELICIOUS! The comedy show was fantastic as well! The host was hilarious and a really nice guy. The acts were also really good! We even became part of the act and jokes becuase we were the Americans with the Groupon deal lol and it was a really great and fun time. We will definitely come back again when we are nearby!!

My husband and I were on holiday and found this place by chance. It was absolutely an amazing night out. A Fantastic comedy night, and if we did not live so far away, it would soooo be our local.

I had an excellent birthday on Wed 30th.

Glen and the team made me feel very special. Although we initially came on a Groupon Voucher, we found the bottles of prosecco, rhubarb vodka and cider more than agreeable and happily spent behind the bar.

The team made my friends and i feel very welcome, the quality of food was surpisingly excellent and the atmosphere a++++

we'll definitley be coming back.

Looking forward to sampling music and cabaret events too.

We're even considering private hire for a charity gig we're putting on.

I did my first ever stand up gig at the Cavendish arms almost 2 years ago. It holds a special place in my heart for its welcoming warm atmosphere. The amount of nerves I sweated in that place is crazy but I loved every moment. Not done any gigs for a while but I will be back one day to tread the boards with the comedy virgin night again. Thank you for having me.

Great night out and one of the best place to see the comedians before they make it big.

Great bar, the comedy nights here are awesome.



The bar staff are fab, very friendly and helpful as well as entertaining in their own right.

Great staff, great booze, great food. Unbeatable.

Cozy, quirky, atmospheric, friendly bar staff/manager, laid back, superb variety of music, and all that from just one visit after all the talent (live music) of the night had left only happened upon this awesome wee pub coz it was open later than 11pm and very close to where we were staying in the Wyvil estate (visiting relatives) this would be my local if I lived down there...alas, I live 450miles away in Irvine Ayrshire...there should be more pubs like this up here.. great wee place. Xx

Came early for the Comedy Virgin night, which was great fun. Since we arrived early we got to relax in some darn comfy chairs and soak up the vibes-which were very relaxed.

An excellent local pub. Made my Canadian friends welcome, good food and beer! 🤗

I recommend the Disco-Fries!

Very nice place. The seating in the bar area is very comfortable. Food available most times. Gets busy when they are having comedy club/virgins next door, but once they start, the bar empties as they go into the next room. 2 real ales on tap most times. Has a front garden area, luckily it faces a quiet street, so no exhaust fumes. Well worth a visit.

I came to this pub last night for Diane Goldies birthday party. I was very impressed with the pub, the location and the staff. Everything. I really enjoyed my night there. Thank you for all of it. I really like this pub. Thank you. Lots of love.

Beer was good, ambience and decor was pleasant. Could have used a bit more choice for real ales, but the entertainment and food were top notch! I recommend this pub to anyone on the music scene.....and anyone out with friends.

Have been a very good place , but now it's not good for people that live around ,we spent many good times in their , now sorry to say we can't go their any more and opening times are not good!
