The Doll'S House Restaurant, St Andrews

A four course dinner hosted at the Dolls House with Gin for each course delivered and explained by Eden Mill.
Steve McKay, Drinks ambassador for Eden mill, will talk you through the detail process of how they fill so much flavour into their gins. We have worked hard to create a menu that showcases both Dolls Houses fine food with Eden Mills Gin.

We were here eating beer batter cod & chips mushy peas & tartare last monday.Tasty too.Biggest impression,the friendly and professional staff.We will return.Thanks

We were a party of 4 adults and 3 kids... could have been a nightmare for some restaurants but not the dolls house. They sat us upstairs where it was quiet and we could relax. Food was delicious and the staff were wonderful. Will definitely go back next time I am in St Andrews .

We went for Christmas dinner and the staff were so polite and attentive and even brought out presants for my two kids overall the food and service was first class and couldn't ask for any more,would recommend to anyone thinking about booking

Visited the Doll’s House on Saturday 16 June to celebrate our anniversary. Thoroughly enjoyable meal, nice ambiance, and very attentive staff. Would certainly recommend, and would visit again whenever in St Andrews.

Thank you for hosting the hen do lunch on Saturday, the food and drinks were first class and was a real treat! The staff were all so attentive and decorated the table and area so well, it looked fantastic. Will definitely be back again on my next visit to St Andrews!

So many years in St Andrews and where's still the place to go? Ainé at the dolls house. Top team, top menu, this is how you do top quality food in the hospitality industry. Faultless. Ainé you would be top drawer in London's west end. Seriously! See you at the dunhill!

Popped in for lunch. It's been a couple of years since I was last at the Doll's House so it was good to try it again. Very busy as always. Sat outside in the sunshine. Food was excellent although when the burger came it did look a bit crunchy and crispy on the outside. Very tasty though. Although busy service was good and sitting in the sun just topped it off. Will be back.

I was treated today to the afternoon tea for my birthday and if you haven’t been there already, I couldn’t recommend enough. The staff were more than accommodating and had the prosecco set up on arrival for us coming in. To finish off a fab lunch, we managed to get a seat outside in the sunshine with the a few cocktails and music. Thank you for a lovely day �

I visited the dolls house for my birthday last July and he food was delicious. Very impressed. I will definitely visit again!

Fantastic service, friendly staff, tasty food and good value for money. Staff were very attentive and helpful with our 9 month old, which definitely can't be said of many other places we've visited for food - and there have been a lot!

They also had great facilities for changing baby - including nappies/wipes etc. We didn't use them but what a service - it really is the small things that make a huge difference to the customer experience. Excellent, we will definitely be back next time we visit!

A brilliant afternoon at The Dolls House. The team were very accommodating for a birthday afternoon tea, even when there was only 2 of them. Brilliant value and very tasty! With it being such a nice day, we headed outside to the pavement cafe, great ambience and a definite sun trap! Cocktails were just fab, would highly recommend!

But was sadly disappointed on Sunday we return at 12.30 to sit outside and have afternoon cream tea to be told there was on scones delivered but there was a huge sign advertising it You missed out in 7 customers there Not very impressed

Treated to Mothers Day Menu with my daughter and have to say was very disappointed compared to other visits here. Sat at a table opposite the entrance and was extremely draughty and place was busy so no prospect of moving elsewhere , the onion & goats cheese tart , consisted of a dry pastry case with a whole half cooked onion and a minuscule bit of cheese on top , very dry & tasteless. Main of smoked chicken and lemon risotto was slightly better , chicken was flavoursome , the risotto less so , very bland and tiny portion. Desert was biggest letdown, had seen the “special “ chocolate orange tart advertised ( photo) and it did not resemble this at all , thin sliver of tart with a hint of orange and the ice cream tasted like plain Mackies to me . Certainly looked / presented nothing like the photo and for £21 each it was a poor effort especially as the Market menu is £12.95 , so £8 markup as it’s a special occasion day . Will certainly give it a miss in future .

Group of us had afternoon tea recently. Sandwiches were a bit stale, scones lovely but topping up the cakes with Mr Kipling is just awful�

We ate as a Christmas night out with close friends early December. Its been over a year since last eating here. My husband and I were very much looking forward to it as the food had always been great the many times we visited before. The starter was ridiculously tiny, the main had veg that quite frankly tasted like school dinners 30 years ago, sausage wrapped in bacon was so white it needed a good transfusion and the cheeseboard delivered cheese not stated on the menu! The only huge saving grace was the delightful young man who served our table, a credit to the Dolls House. Ive heard from several friends that they feel the food isn't a patch on what it used to be. Real shame, possibly another restaurant that's been taken over and riding on its previous reputation.

Took my brother and his wife to lunch yesterday. The food was terrible. Unfortunately three of us had the same starter. Was listed as Haggis bonbons with tatties, neeps and a whiskey mustard. There were two small overcooked balls the size of marbles placed at either end of an out of proportion sized serving of wet mashed potato and turnip. The drop of mustard was so small it was lost in the wet mash.

Main wasn't much better with soggy tasteless chips and steak and ale pie. Took some of the meat in a napkin for the dog who was waiting in the car!!

Needless to say we didn't bother with dessert. There are so many good restaurants in St Andrews. This is not one of them.Will not be eating there again and would not recommend.
