Lovely pub by the river

Good food great staff

User

Small cosy pub overlooking the Thames at Hammersmith. Staff were great along with the standard of food, the portions were huge, not overly expensive.Would definitely recommend and will be back soon

User

One of my favourite pubs. Has a small snug at the front, 2 larger drinking areas with another area mainly for eating with a terrace overlooking the Thames. A good place to be on Boat Race Day. A Fullers pub with about 4 cask ales all in good condition. Worth hunting out.

User

Lovely Sunday Lunch with my family on the Thames. The food was really good, drink selection fine and sitting outside on a Mild spring afternoon in a protected spot made our day

User

Great pub: warmth, food, atmosphere, drinks made the perfect Sunday lunch. I don’t understand how you could not like this nice little pub!

User

Great atmosphere and delicious food: modern British dishes with a twist, with seasonal local ingredients. Nice interior decoration and pictures. There are great views of the Thames and a nice little terrace.

User

Great Traditional Pub with good beer. Fantastic views of the Thames from the beer garden.

User

Fabulous place lovely setting and the food and service were excellent

User

Don't listen to the bad reviews they're not fair. This is a bustling little pub with great food and lovely staff who work like dogs. I couldn't do that job and at the speed needed in there and with these type of locals who are super demanding. I'd chuck one of them over the edge into the river! Keep up the good work guys. Love Chris and Bella the collie

User

Called in for a pint with a mate I had not seen for a while, so a catch up and to show him what a Great pub the Dove is. Good friendly staff as well.

User

Awesome had the brisket food and wine are not cheap. Shame all orders MUST go through the bar as the service would be better if it was table service. Think of your clients not your focus on process. Overall i loved it though and left my brollie behind

User

nice pub if u can get a seat when the sunshines

staff excellent

User

Lovely hidden gem on the Thames! Delicious small plates on the patio.

User

Great pub. Great location. To think that so many famous people sat with drinks at the Dove. Ernest Hemingway and Graham Green. Rule Britannia seems was written there. What not to like? Food overpriced but this is London' famous pub on Thames.

User

The pub is in great location but it needs a major facelift it is quite dirty with an awful smell coming from the toilets right through the pub !! The food is adequate and the staff is good . I won't bother going back until it's cleaned up !!!!

We went over there for yesterday night.... we were 7 persons but we were reluctantly put into a table of six because what the heck, the pub connoisseur knows better than us how we want to sit. So we arrived to this beautiful pub to the most beautiful place over the river Thames... so for the place it is a 5 stars. We sit down see the menu, there was the greek mezze platter for 16 £. Doorbells started ringing. Greek mezze in a british pub , probably they will come out of a can ... we order it because to other non Greeks it sounded good... and there it comes ... the disgrace of Greek cooking, taramasalata, tzatziki, babaganous all coming out of a can. The chef did not even bother to prepare it him self. Either way I was determined not to bother my self with that... Then the burger I ordered arrived, the patty it self being burned on the side.... still determined I would not say anything.... ok it is a badly prepared burger in an English pub. And then I order a double gin with slim line tonic. It arrives and along arrives the mousse I ordered. Well guess what, the word mousse means foam. It was not, it was a hard cream, apparent indication of it being defrosted to the ones who know. Still disappointed but decided not to say anything although my pals said I should. So the waitress arrives and asks why I did not eat the mousse. I said I was ok. She said are you sure it is not because you did not like it. And I told her its because it aint a mousse plunging the spoon inside (with difficulty) and the spoon staying there plunged inside a mousse pointing out like a flag mast .... and after she says she is sorry as if it is her fault (the boss should have the decency to come and say he is sorry not let it to the waiters) then she brings the bill. Fair amount for seven persons 230£ ... and then I check again.... oh my they have charged the tonic in my gin and tonic separately. Now I know that this is the way things are probably done here but it is not how things are done in other places of this country, mainly Glasgow where I live. A double gin with tonic costs somewhere between 3.9 and 5.70 and of course the tonic is included in the price. There is no dignity in asking for the tonic separately on a 10£ drink. Now this is just to pinpoint how this place has no connection to the customer, only seen as money. Of course I ain't going there again, probably because I don't live in london but hopefully the people who own it will see this and make the appropriate changes.

User

Overpriced small portions of food with incorrect information on menu. A chocolate brownie is supposed to be cake like in texture. I was served sloppy brown sweet gunge. A table should not be posititioned by an outdoor air vent where lavatory smells followed by air freshener can be "enjoyed".
