Colts Hill A228 closed from Alders Road to Badsell Road due to an accident
On Sunday it's time for a traditional Roast with all the trimmings at the Dovecote. The food is homely & traditional, sourced from local suppliers such as Ian Chatfield Butchers and Simon the Pieman.

We're having a bit of trouble with our lager chiller at the moment, so sorry we can't serve any lager. Don't worry though; we have bottled Peroni and plenty of cider and real ales for you to enjoy instead!

What a great pub!!! The beer was fantastic ! The atmosphere phenomenal ! Food was fabulous! Chuck the bartender..entertaining . Till the next visit to England ..sigh . Thanks for a great time !!!
We were a lunch party of 8 (we pre-booked, which is advisable) and we were warmly welcomed and very well looked after. The food arrived quickly, despite each of us ordering something different, and it certainly did not disappoint - very tasty and well presented. There is also a good selection of real ales available. All in all, an excellent choice for a pub lunch.
Very good traditional country pub. Definitely recommend the beer!
The best pub around friendly staff and great food well worth a vist.
Lovely country pub with great beer, excellent food and a programme of interesting events.
Just had a wonderful lunch and a couple of pints with a great friend. Highly recommend the salads and, as always, the beer!
Just had a great lunch here with my wife and (sleeping) twins - staff very friendly - happy to cuddle the twins :)
Had a romantic dinner here on a Friday night it was lovely, wine was fabulous and the food was amazing. Can’t wait to come back
Had a fabulous Sunday lunch with friends who had not been before, we all enjoyed it thoroughly.
Great meal out with my partner, food, service and the hospitality was amazing! One of the best evenings out in a long while.

Great all round, food was STUNNING and the guys behind the bar were really welcoming! Will be going back very soon
Good range of cask beers, excellent menu and specials. Definitely value for money and the staff are very friendly. Been coming for 6 years. A very good find along with an excellent b & b just up the road. What more could you want from a few nights away.
First time visiting today. Had an amazing Sunday lunch and sticky toffee pudding. Great portion sizes. And a good selection of real ales. Will definitely go again.
