About The Duke Of Wellington
Welcome to the Duke of Wellington, in the heart of Portobello Road London. Where we have stunning dishes served up by our fantastic chefs and always a fresh pint.
The Duke Of Wellington Description
Our friendly atmosphere reflects the truly multi cultural area in which it stands. Featuring in the Notting Hill film and where 'Adele' signed her first contract, this is the place where locals can brush shoulders with antiques dealers and tourists, then share drinks with musicians.
We have a wide choice of drinks, ranging from finest Young’s bitters to carefully selected wines from across the world to delicious cocktails. The menu at the Duke of Wellington will offer everything expected from a great pub including the world famous fish and chips cooked in young’s beer batter. We also have our fabulous upstair dining room, which overlooks the bustling Portobello Road.

What a great pub...food was great, drinks were great, service was outstanding, and best of all ... they let you bring dog into the pub !
We had the perfekt breakfast served in the sun by this nice australian gay 😘 Thank you 🙏
We had a meal at the Duke of Wellington and I must say that the lamb was delicious, juicy and tender, with tasty vegetables and quinoa. The staff were pleasant and helpful and the prices were on a par with other similar London establishments. My companions enjoyed their meals too.
The service and attention are great. Delicious food. The background music is excellent (09/11/16 - I had to congratulate the staff who made the selection... Joy Division and all! The place is welcoming and nice style.
Lovely traditional pub with a good range of ales and friendly staff. I am yet to test out the food menu but I am sure I will before too long 😊
I came at Friday night, the pub was full of people, but the dinner was amazing! The best dinner I have ever had in London.
Great place to have a pint and people watch after shopping on Portobello Rd.
Great atmosphere and good food..right in the heart of Portobello ..recommended
Fabulous old pub with reasonably good food and service. Allegedly the oldest pub in London and it really feels like it. A real taste of medieval London. You can just imagine the old sailors coming in from the Thames for a flagon of ale and a hearty meal.
Excelent the food and the drinks especially the beer and the baileys. It’s an excellent place to stay there. Thank you
Delicious food and friendly service
Can't beat this pub for great food and an amazing selection of beers. The GM is a bit strange but the assistant managers and head chef make up for it!
Absolutely amazing! Ordered the chateaubriand for 2. Was absolutely amazing, beautiful presentation and nothing was to much for the staff. Say is where we wanted and looked after us all night!
Nice place nice service and good spread out seetings..and a lovely peroni well worth a viser they did have nice muld cider to...
Had an early dinner yesterday. Great food (I had pork belly), but really needs a wider selection of non-alcoholic drinks. Maybe also show them in the menu card?
A lovely, welcoming pub and restaurant. Staff very friendly and obliging - nothing was too much of a problem. Always a smile on their faces. Fabulous menu of four Sunday roast which included a vegetarian option. My niece enjoyed the chicken roast whilst I had the beef. Absolutely scrumptious.
Best thing about this venue is that pets are welcome. It was wonderful to see how many dogs lay at their owners feet. Water bowls supplied by the restaurant. Perfect!!
Definitely a place worth a re-visit.
Nice pub with friendly staff. Lots of tourists so not really a pub with a local friendly feel but nice enough to stop off for lunch mid shop.
Food was cold and greasy , had to go find a waitress to have food reheated , over priced and disappointing. Bar staff friendly and cocktails well made though
Disgusting service and food poisoning. They care more about profit than their customers. I live next door and I will never go there again. Shame on them. I never leave reviews but this was required. Don't be fooled. Good luck to them surviving the winter months!!!! Bad bad bad
