Well, It was 10 months studying at The English Studio and they were such an amazing experience. I met people from all over the world who helped me to change my point of view about humanity. We can live in peace just respecting each other, no matters religions, cultures, customs and thoughts.



Despite the fact that this school is "small" It has everything for improving your English and on the top of that, its offer is cheap. All teacher are good but particularly I would like to do a special mention to Ebru Tokel Izci and Mike Mooney. Not only are they excellent teachers, they are good human being.

I was a student in The English Studio in 2012 for 4 weeks. I took the placement test and was directed to silver level. I remember not believing that was right, I also remember thinking that I was falling behind the group. First classes were tough but as soon as I got used to everything (fast paced London mainly), I could enjoy classes more and then things started to fall in place. The school was nice, staff OK, but the teacher was the best! Thanks, TES!

I spent 5 wonderful weeks at The English Studio. Nothing would have been the same if I hadn't had Mike Mooney as a teacher. With him, your English level improves day by day. The more you learn the more confidence you acquire.

Indeed, he teaches you not only how to speak correctly but how to use new vocabulary and improve your speech by talking to your classmates and learning from your mistakes.

I wish all the teachers in the world had his vocation to teach others.

Thanks Mike, do not ever change the way you are.

I have studied at English Studio in 2015 for few months , I stopped at the Grey Book, it was a nice time , friendly teachers , friendly staff, nice atmosphere.

I have a great experience studying at The English Studio. The English Studio has excellent teachers and friendly multicultural environment. I have made good friends. All teachers are good but Mike Mooney is exceptionally good. I always enjoyed his class. He explains everything with examples. He engages everyone in the class. Mike, thank you for guiding and inspiring me. I absolutely recommend for new students.

I arrived to London on 29th of august 2016. I didn't speak nothing english!! I started in English studio on 5th of september and i spent almost 10 months. I started in elementary and i've finished in advance...The thing is, that now i can comunicate. In almost 10 months I've met several teachers but I'd like put the focus in Mike Mooney. Because he helped me a lot. He encouraged me to continue every day and made me happy. Guys if you are thinking to came to English Studio, try to meet Mike Mooney!!!! He organise the social events and whose could help you to learn english. Im going to miss the School a lot, and in particular Mike and my class mates...I'm in tears!!hahah

Hi. I would highly recommend ES , because they do provide quality education. I love all my teachers, they are experienced professionals.

I have learnt English very well , in comparison with time when I arrived , I couldn't even say my date of Birth-))).

I'd like to share my experience for who's looking for an English school in London.

I spent 6 months at English Studio through the last year in General English and IELTS class, and I totally recommend this school for the quality of lessons, social activities and great teachers. I'd like to put two teachers on the spotlight. Firstly, the excellent Michael Wilshere who can even make an IELTS lesson interesting and funny. Secondly, the exceptional Mike Mooney ; not only an amazing teacher, Mike is also a lovely person, dynamic and always enthusiastic, whatever the weather. I learned a lot thanks to them !

Every morning during that period, English Studio made my day, many thanks for that :)

An excellent school with a number of benefits: location, teachers, administration support, academic resources and a lot more. I have done two courses at The English Studio and my English has improved from Elementary to Proficiency. I could not have chosen better!

A great school, with great locations and amazing teachers. The team is always ready to provide you all the assistance you may need and the facilities are great.

I've studied at the English Studio for two weeks since I had won a scolarship at my university in Italy. I've attended the IELTS exam preparation course and my experience has been completely positive. First of all, the school is near Holborn Station, on the Central and the Piccadilly lines: it is really easy to get to lesson. I only had one teacher and he paid always serious attention to our needs and questions, offering lots of useful material. The class was small so each of us students had the possibility to practice and improve his or her knowledge of English.

I won a scholarship and I stayed for two weeks in the residence and I studied at the ES. My experience was really good, I attended the IELTS exam preparation course and I was really satisfied. The class was not so big and we practiced each part of the exam. Our teacher was great: he was very good at explaining and gave us some extra materials with more detailed and useful information about the IELTS exam. I enjoyed both the course and the accomodation.

A very nice well located English course, with students from all over the world. You will have the chance not only to improve your English skills but also you will meet new people and practice a lot. I've taken classes with Victoria, who is a very nice and talented professional and teacher. The only downsize so far is the enrollment process. It's not organized at all and they will not give you all the information you'll need, specially if you booked your course online.

My niece attended this course for a week and it was pretty awful. Starting with the disorganised admin process on the first day, a lot of people everywhere and very messy. Followed by the classes where very poor, my niece seemed to not have learned ANYTHING... always revising on the previous day lecture but not doing any meaningful learning. Then the outings, they are taken out but not really shown anything. Just dropped off in different places and given time for themselves....! ? How can they properly sightsee if they are left on their own? I am very unhappy. Quite expensive school for what it provides, not useful. They should give part of the money back!

I would not recommend this school. Even though the teachers are well-prepared and engaging, the administration is extremely poor. During a 2-week course, the majority of the students were assigned to wrong groups; it did not change for a whole week in spite of various complaints. Many people are going to ask for a refund.

To be honest don't choose this school even if it's the cheapest one ! I had a really bad experience with the administration i struggle to get a refund it's been almost the 8 weeks that they usually took, according to their process ... and they tried to get advantage of it !! I still don't understand how they manage it.

The only good point is that i met amazing people in my class but regarding the english lesson depending on the teacher sometimes the quality of the class isn't worthy at all.
