There has been an interesting study which suggested clients whose facial muscles of expression were paralysed with botulinum toxin could read disturbing literature more quickly than those who hadn't been treated.

We often see ourselves in 2 dimensions. How do we look in the mirror? How do we look in our photos? It's so important to think about the third dimension; partly because it influences how we look face on but also because it's how we present ourselves in 'real' life. Think about your face, not just a picture of your face.

First day at the European Society of Ophthalmic, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Some interesting insights listening to colleagues from around the world. There seems to be a desire for slightly differing aesthetics in different cultures even within Europe.
