Its Friday!!!!

Our in house microbrewery, Craft Academy, have been collaborating with Toast Ale, to support their mission to help eradicate food waste.
They’ve brewed a New England IPA, using 30kg of bread that was destined for the bin.
We’ll be hosting the launch in our garden bar so expect beers from both breweries as well as the new collaboration.

Come one come all to the illustrious opening night of knee slapping, cheek reddening, tummy tickling, gut guffawing comedy at The Florence! Three incredible headliners supported by 15 acts, some brand spanking new and others trying out new material. Each act gets 5 minutes to show off their funny bones; that's nearly 90 minutes of comedy, absolutely free!! What's your excuse for not coming? MC'd by the Mighty Luke Chilton (one day that name might just mean something!)

Under new management & shining bright. The new dinner menu is superb, from the melon, halloumi, coconut & tahini starters to the steak with bone marrow butter & chimichurri. Every bite was outstanding. Great service & incredibly knowledgeable staff, who were attentive, but not hovering. We will definitely be eating here again & wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

I was in there on a Wednesday afternoon and the lady that served us was wonderful and friendly.

I had the pleasure of being in this lovely place today with friends and family to celebrate the life of my mum whom we laid to rest today I want to say that I was in awe of the ambiance of the place and the total service we were given by the staff and the food they supplied I want to thank you for making each of happy and welcome I will definetly recommend to anyone who wants a good place to eat and drink so once again I say thank so much kind regards Donna Pryer xx

Held a baby shower here today. The staff were excellent the venue is beautiful and spacious and the food was top notch. 100% recommend!

Great vibe, fab food! Staff friendly. Manager sassy but in a good way. I'll be back!

A wonderful venue which has seating out the front and a tabled area inside and outside to the rear. Fabulous menu to choose from and great staff to compliment a lovely Sunday outing.

A massive thanks to Tajah at the Florence who helped me organise an event for my dear friend in two days. The Luppino room was perfect, all the equipment we needed, own fridge and toilets. Good size and the bubbly was pretty good too. The staff were great. Thank you very much.

Decent when not busy but falls apart when a crowd arrives. Specifically chose The Florence to watch the footy with drink and food. Disappointing they could not deliver much more than a pint. "We're too busy" said the bar staff.

This was an old favourite of ours and recently returned. Unfortunately the food was dreadful. Iberico ham with sourdough and pickles came out as salami, brioche and capers.... Then for mains two laksas came out and were gelatinous, full of oil and had random vegetable throughout with no seasoning. They were replaced with burgers which were dry, tasteless and in stale rolls. Such a disappointment as we loved this venue once upon a time....

This place used to be a fantastic place, but it really has gone down hill. It a couple of hours to order food and the steak provided was not rib eye as mentioned. The poor waitress was rushed off her feet and it is clear that there are not enough staff to handle the lunch time rush. Will eat elsewhere from now on.

They brought us pancakes with a bunch of hair.

We asked them to change this and they brought us a plate half the size of the first one!!

After telling them this, they told us they would give 20 percent discount. Since we were sitting outside we had to open a tab. We realised that they only gave us 10 percent and charged us 9 GBP for this beyond poor service. Totally unacceptable and will not recommend this place to anyone

Such a badly run pub. Always has been. Runs out of food, waiters barely know whats going on and they never wash the glasses, they just let them build up on the bar top. To top this off I was asked to leave this supposed family pub for having a baby with me. Apparently you can only sit in the back with an under 18 but every single table in the back had a reserved sign on. I could understand if I had an unruly toddler but a sleeping baby? It's just poorly managed. I will stick to the much friendlier Commercial form now on.

Shown to seats then asked by another waiter if we had been shown to the table As that's what they did in the restaurant area (I've never been to a restaurant so was well surprised..... NOT!)

I found the girl that served us very unhelpful, she did not know what was on a very short menu as my wife asked her a question on one of the starters and she could not explain what is was.



We then ordered drinks and she brought 3 of the 4 we ordered. She then vanished for 30mins and on her return we asked where the coffee was that we ordered. She then looked more surprised than I was that I did not get the coffee. She then went on the search for the coffee and brought it with not even an apology.



I the ordered a main of Grilled cod and when it arrived, the way it was presented was good but at after eating a bit of it I realized the it was undercooked and some parts were still translucent I left most of it on my plate. I started feeling nauseous on the way home. I started throwing up and had diarrhea. I am still feeling nauseous this morning. As that was the only thing I had to eat yesterday it could only be that.



To top it off my wife and other friends ordered dessert and again she brought 2 of the three things we ordered, later when if asked where the dessert was we again got that surprised look and she went of in search of the desert. When she came back with the dessert she did not apologies again!!!





As a final slap in the face we got the bill and they had already added the 12.5% service charge, no wonder the service was so bad as she knew she was getting tipped no matter how bad the service was.



The selling point for me was the fact that they had a play area but even that was not up to scratch as all the toys were dirty.
