The Footy Predictor Page Description
For all things Footy Predictor.
The organiser lives in Harlow, Essex and works at Royal Mail at Stansted Airport, the vast majority of our player either live in Harlow or work at the Airport, but you can play wherever you are.
The FootyPredictor is a (mainly) weekly competition,
based on predicting 10 football (soccer) scores. Weekly prize is £60 also included "1st Goal" (rolling prize) predicting the minute the 1st goal is scored in a particular match each week, "Absolute Zero" a prize for correctly predicting the most 0-0 results. Total Goal a prize for correct predicting the total number of goals on our form.
Its a not for profit competition.
There are short running competitions called "Dash"s running for 5-9 weeks which had a £100 prize, tba this year and also 'On the Nail' is a similar short run compo, but you have to get exactly the right number to win the prize.
There is our Season Long running total "Leaderboard" compo the top prize was £800 last year and tba this coming year once we know the numbers, we pay out to the Top 30 players
We do "special" compos when the EUROs or the WORLD CUP are on (usually £3 each)

It cost £1 each competition or £38 for a season, last season has 46 competitions in it.
Early payment for next season will cost you just £35 and you get our (normally) £3 sports predictor compo included free, if bought by the 12th July.

Now I have the setup weekend over and done, I hope that by Sunday night each weekend the website will be fully updated. So how the website looks now for TFP01 and the I survived page, the aim is that future weekends will be sorted like they are today, but by sunday night instead. Robert

... It includes the back dating (for a maximum of 4 competitions) of your entry to the first weekend and allocates you 25 points for the weekend's you missed.

OK the setup took a little longer than I hope, I was out most of Saturday and that was a time management mistake (although seeing the book of mormon musical was fantastic!)
I thought we had a clear winner on 86 point but during my double checks I notice a typo on the 10th match, I'd typed 3-2 (15 points) when the person had entered 2-2(2 points)!
So we open with a three way draw the £100 gets split 3 way and rounded up to the nearest £5 = £35 each three people are already gt ...

Just one match left to start in our first weekend, you should expect the winner declared by Monday morning, the first weekend always takes longer than the rest as it involves all the setting up for the season .

Handy tip for online players suggested by one of our players.
If you wish to include the name of the teams in your entry you can do so, and so when you get your auto reply you’ll have a record of your predictions with the teams.
Example for the first match of the current form instead of putting 1-3, you could have put Newcastle 1 - Tottenham 3 etc
... Hope this help for those that forget what matches were included in the competitions.

Below post was posted on my Facebook page by mistake but was up before the deadline! —————- Well here’s my entry so you know I have not altered my scores when you see the points total fir the weekend.
Remember you are all covered by our ‘no bad start’ rule, where you cannot get less than 25 points for the first 4 weeks. You of course get more points than that and whoever win the first competition will do so I’m sure!
