The Frog Restaurant Description

Adam Handling’s Frog offers a relaxed environment showcasing Adam’s distinctive cooking style – combining technical savvy with the best possible produce, and a lightly theatrical touch.

With innovation at the core of Adam’s cooking, he and his team have also developed a drinks offering to match. Guests can expect to sip on craft beers from selected micro-breweries, new age wines from young winemakers, curated cocktails and even in-house made kombucha, either at the restaurant tables or at the wooden- topped bar.

We’re living life on the veg with our Celeriac, yolk, apple, date and truffle. Adam created this after his mum became vegetarian, and we've been thanking her for doing so ever since. 🐸

Alongside our wood-roasted octopus is a smoky side of pomme purée, with a sticky pool of chorizo jam at the bottom, so our advice would be to grab a crispy spud skin and dig right in! 🐙

Cauliflower’s at full capacity with our pork sharer. Florets are roasted, leaves become kimchi, and stalks are barbecued then blitzed. Root-to-shoot once again showing how modesty can become magnificent! 🐸

What an amazing experience!!



I consider myself to be a MASSIVE foodie and have encountered many tasting menus.....but this exceeded every expectation !



I am an avid MasterChef fan, so of course this swayed my choice to dine here but I was so impressed I surprised myself!



The guys had a power cut and were apparently working on restricted resources, yet this did not show in their exceptional food. The beef/artichoke, cheese donuts and yazu, white chocolate and peanut dessert blew me away!!



The friendly, welcoming vibe from the front of house staff was second to none, fully enhanced by the immersive cooking experience provided by the chefs! Of course we bought them a beer!!!



We will be back! Daily if up to me for donuts!! �

It was our first time at Spitafields market, we wanted somewhere to eat. After a quick google, we chose The Frog after finding out the head chef had been on Masterchef the Professionals a few years ago.

To our surprise on entering the restaurant, the chef on the pass was one of the chefs on this years Masterchef. We chose the tasting menus with drinks pairing (vegetarian) and beer pairing.

Now to the nitty gritty. The food was amazing, each dish complemented the drinks (Jamie, the chef on the pass actually changed one of the wines at the last minute on one of the vegetarian dishes). The kitchen was one of the calmest I have seen which bodes well for a great dining experience, each dish was bought by one of the chefs who cooked it, a nice touch. The waiting staff were excellent and attentive, the sommelier was fantastic too.

A little gem, cannot wait to return.

I am Californian which means kindness and food are in my blood. Hidden in a small quiet square lies the coolest and by fair best designed restaurant in all of Hackney. With a huge top floor restaurant and fun/cozy bar downstairs, this isn't a place to miss. The food was divine and ate just about everything until I couldn't eat anymore. The staff made me feel like I was back in California(INCREDIBLY NICE) and the drinks were delicious. Do yourself a favor and forget your pizza or hamburger and head on over for a little food and drink at this new spot. I promise you, you'll be wondering where it's been this whole time.

Had the tasting menu. The food was delicious and the wine with each course complimented it perfectly. Good atmosphere and great laid back delivery from their team. Good for small groups, friends or couples. I will definitely revisit.
