Who wouldтАЩve thought the Globe was a hangout of some of the prolific songwriters. Here Gerry RaffertyтАЩs song Baker Street inspired by GlobeтАЩs conversations. Thank you Alex for digging it out
The food is great, the place is amazing.
The staff are extremely helpful and friendly.
especially one named "James" who answered nicely all my questions on the phone and welcomed so well my little dog.
Just to say thank you, i had such a lovely evening.
Nice place for a quiet drink and great food
Fun example of a typical London pub. Friendly staff and good food plus a wide range of drinks.
Cracking bar always go there when in London but when you've got 100 plus Leeds fans wanting to watch game why would you insist trying to show manscum game , that's lost you a star on the ratings
Christmas dinner was delicious and the people were great.
We went yesterday at 2pm for late lunch , plenty of tables upstairs and table service .
Downstairs you order at the bar to eat .
Staff were lovely , food was good and plenty of choice , only bug bear was waiting ages for our pudding ЁЯСНЁЯСНЁЯСНЁЯСН
Apart of a nice environment...I was pissed off when before 20min to close the pub they refuse me when I wanted to buy a pack of crisp. You had 20min left...and was friday night!!! If you dont want to make money start cleaning 1 hour before closing and doing The z readong and x reading on the tills. Shame! and that small guy behind the bar must have a friendly approach attitude! Disgusting!
My first visit to the pub I asked the barman if he could recommend dry bottle of White wine and the response I got was I donтАЩt drink wine , You may not drink it but as a trained barman you should know what you are selling to your customers and make recommendations. Asked for a pint of Peroni and no Peroni Glasses ie wonтАЩt be back or recommend it to my friends .
We walked in and the tables were full of left over food. We should of walked back out then!! Drinks were flat and the food we ordered was totally wrong and not worth the money at all. Jacket potato with cheese & beans ,┬г7 but allowances made as we were in London but when it came, no joke there was one spoonful of beans and I couldn't really see any cheese. Upon paying the bill we were asked if our food was ok but to be honest the bloke wasn't interested when we said no it wasn't great!!! Won't be going back.
