We were just at The Gore Hotel for a 4 day stay so that my little daughter could perform at the Royal Albert Hall as one of the winners of a classical music competition. We traveled as a family and our two daughters are 4 and 6. They gave us an absolutely stunning room fit for princesses and the wows didn't end there. We had an amazing meal the night before the concert right there in the hotel so we could relax and gear up for the next day. We also had high tea the day before we left that was absolutely delicious and so beautifully presented. Trevor was so gracious and helpful my daughter mispronounced it as Treasure one day and then decided it fit him perfectly. They even left an Advent Calendar and chocolates on the kids little beds the first night we were there! We couldn't have asked for a more memorable stay in London and The Gore made it just that much more magical. Thanks to everyone there from the bottom of our hearts!!

We have stayed here before and the rooms , hotel and staff are fantastic, yesterday we had dinner there as we were in town just for the day to see Paul Rodgers Free Spirit tour. Food was really great, the starter, main and dessert were well above what I expected and thoroughly enjoyed it. Very attractive plating, interesting desserts, fresh and thoughtful ingredients, small but adequate amounts of beautiful food. We ate from the a la carte not the prefix. A perfect dining experience, they did not have the wine we wanted but we had a different wine of the same type and it was more expensive, they comped the difference as they were at fault.! No complaints there!

User

We had a great time. The hotel is in a good location, everyone was very nice and helpful. The breakfast was very satisfying. No complaints, very happy.

We chose The Gore for my 40th birthday break, and were not disappointed. The location, interior and service were all fabulous. We were thrilled to be upgraded on arrival, and were very happy with our room.

The nightly turn down service was a very welcome touch, as were the lovely Penhaligon's toiletries. The air conditioning was extremely welcome in the scorching summer heat, as was the balcony in the morning and evening. I was pleased to note that there were ample plug sockets located around the room, including at either side of the bed (something many hotels overlook). We didn't use the Handy Phone provided, but it's a very nice touch - especially for overseas visitors.

The hotel bar was impressively well-stocked, even for a cocktail nut like me, with an excellent offering of rock n roll themed drinks that arrived beautifully presented. You get a real sense of the legendary history of the place, seated in the lavishly decorated and cosily dark interior. It's a great place for a nightcap.

In all, we can't wait for the opportunity to return to The Gore.

User

WOW - that is The Gore Hotel in one word. From the moment we arrived the staff (kudos to Patrick!) were fantastic. When we arrived the bar was closed for a private event and the library was being used however it was full; so the staff (again thanks Patrick!) were great in setting us up in the closed restaurant (even lit candles!) so we could have a night cap, it was late. :) The room was lovely! (the only 'hmmm' was the carpet could use replacing) The food in Bar 190, was excellent as well. The hotel's interior is just beautiful and the attentive staff just made the stay fantastic. We really enjoyed the location as well! We will not hesitate in staying there again and certainly hope to!

User

Thank you so very much for a most magical week; our room (309) was a visual sensation. The Gore Hotel epitomises style, sophistication and professionalism and our wonderful experience exceeded any expectations we may have held prior to arrival. Incredible design and decor aside, it was the staff we’ll remember the most. Their warmth, kindness, service delivery and positivity was infectious. We felt immediately at home rendering it very difficult to leave! We will definitely return because The Gore is quite honestly one of the best hotels I have had the privilege of staying at. Congratulations to all for your commitment to outstanding service! Until next time...

User

Such a great place to stay... the staff were fantastic, really friendly and helpful. The bar has become one of my fondest memories of London: epic music, the food was spot on, and the bar man Alfredo is now my most loved bar man of all time!!

User

Stayed last night when we went to see Marillion at the Royal Albert Hall, a place I've never been to before. Right from check-in the staff were lovely, friendly and polite. The staff who served us in the bar both before and after were brilliant (especially the chaps gin recommendations!!). They helped make a fantastic evening even better. If we ever go to RAH again we'd definitely stay again.

User

My husband and I have just returned from a magical couple of days at The Gore...what a wonderful piece of history we had the pleasure in experiencing

The staff went out of their way to make our stay memorable each and everyone of them deserve a mention but with special thanks to Trevor who was one of the most pleasant gentlemen who did his job brilliantly

Our room which was upgraded for us on arrival was wonderful with a very comfortable bed....We would most definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to experience something unique yet with all the mod cons

Great job The Gore you have won us over and we very much look forward to a return visit

User

My daughter arranged my 70th Birthday surprise party. The private room was beautiful, staff very friendly and accommodating. Table was beautifully set up and food was delicious! Big thank you for accommodating my daughter's wishes which in return has given me an amazing evening with my family and friends! Highly recommended!!!

User

Me and my partner stayed last night as we were going to the Royal Albert Hall (which is a 2 min walk from the hotel) to watch Russel Howard. Lovely chap on reception when we arrived. Showed us to our room. Lovely decor all round the hotel which is one of the reasons we booked in the first place. Bed was so comfy, I'm 8 months pregnant so this was fantastic! Staff were all polite and friendly. We parked at the Horton street car park which was just a 15/20 min walk from the hotel and very reasonable. Would definitely recommend this hotel

User

If I'm attending an event at The Royal Albert Hall, I always try and stay at The Gore as it is literally next door.. The place has a genuine grandeur and class. The staff are all friendly, courteous and helpful. The food is exceptionally good. At the time of writing (September 2017) there is renovation work taking place on the exterior of the hotel but this is restricted to 10am to 6pm and made no difference to my stay. I've already booked my next stay.

User

I was at the Gore for drinks before an event at the Royal Albert Hall this week (so handy and close for events there!) in the Bar which was packed out. A waitress accidentally spilt a drink down my brand new coat, which I was so upset about - it being its first outfit, pretty pricey and bright blue. The Bar Manager, David I think (?) was lovely - he apologised profusely and then sweetly wouldn't let my father-in-law pay the drinks and nibbles bill for 4 of us when we left. I arrived late and I think my in-laws had been there a while, so it was extremely generous of him. A superb example of how to right a bad situation and I will definitely be returning as a result, bravo David and the Gore.

User

I stayed here last night with my husband to celebrate my birthday. The staff were extremely friendly, courteous & accomodating. The hotel is pure old style elegance & charm. We stayed in a standard room which although small was comfy although the plumbing could do with a little attention. The breakfast was superb. A very enjoyable stay.

User

Had a pre theatre set menu at The Gore Hotel with my husband. The food was amazing, the setting was beautiful and the staff were attentive. A thoroughly enjoyable experience and would love to visit again

User

Dined here last night before attending royal Albert hall. Service in restaurant was superb , food was lovely and prosecco was delightful too.

The only fault was in the bar after dinner, we sat at a table and was asked what we wanted to drink but we wait 20 minutes and the drinks never arrived but customers that came in after us but we're sat at bar got theirs drinks . We had to leave before we had our drinks as it would of made us late for concert.

User

A really lovely hotel , full of character with an intimacy that offers privacy in the luxurious sitting room to the glamour of the cocktail bar . The room had a sumptuous decor , a welcomed walk in wardrobe and the most comfortable double bed .

It would have been a nice touch to have tea and coffee making facilities alongside the mini bar for the guilty pleasure of a lie in with a lovely hot drink to gently wake you up .

User

We've stayed they several times due to the location close to RAH. Never had evening meal in the restaurant, but had problems with breakfast service each time. Yesterday was typical - although the restaurant isn't huge, the few female waiters seemed totally unable to cope. We were seated then totally ignored for around 20 minutes. Eventually we had to ask for someone to take our order. When the food eventually arrived one of the meals was wrong but we didn't complain because we didn't want to wait any longer. When the bill was finally presented it was for a different table, but they were unable to get their 'system' to produce the correct bill. Maybe one of the hotel management should experience the situation themselves, and hopefully put someone experienced in charge to keep things running smoothly.

User

Trying to receive my meal is near impossible in the evening..it was only salad?? Ive decided to go to my room as was waiting for a length of time. Just as I was going to bed early a staff delivered my salad to my room....tasted bland. In the morning decided to order a bacon sandwich and I received something else...I didnt want to say anything as was hungry from the night before and therefore needed something to eat asap. Rooms were ok. On the plus side, staff were all super friendly and you dont lift a finger as they will do it on your behalf as if you are a VIP.
