Lovely bar, friendly welcoming atmosphere, and the most adorable bar dog, who came for some fuss. Definitely will stop in again when im in the area.

However after the drinks were paid for (by our friends) my fiancee picked up his ONE pint and we went out to the rear garden to see the other guests. We were out there for a minute or two, having barely wished our friend happy birthday, when one of the staff came out and took the pint out of my fiancee's hand, mumbled something incoherant and walked back inside. We were totally confused about what had happened, and when no one returned, my fiancee went back inside to ask what had happened. He was told that two pints had been taken out. The staff had accused him, their customer of walking out, walking back in and taking a second pint?!?! Only one had been ordered, poured and taken out. After arguing with the staff, confirming with our friends and then having to go back inside and PAY for another pint, before finally arguing with the manager and getting a refund, my fiancee was finally allowed to drink his pint. We never received an apology. The morals of a sewer rat. My partner was interviewed for a waitress position, and offered a work trial. She passed the trial and was offered the position. The following night she was summarily dismissed as a previous employee wanted their job back.



That's how this restaurant treats people, so if you are remotely concerned about ethics, then give this place a wide berth.

I am digusted by the rudeness of the manager. When I asked about getting a table she ubrubtly told me she had nothing, with out offering me a waiting period, or asking me to wait in the beer garden, I had a small child with me who was crying and she could have helped. There was plenty of room in the beer garden too. I shall be running a campaign against this manager, as I believe she was unhelpful and rude, when she could see that I needed. Help

The morals of a sewer rat. My partner was interviewed for a waitress position, and offered a work trial. She passed the trial and was offered the position. The following night she was summarily dismissed as a previous employee wanted their job back.



That's how this restaurant treats people, so if you are remotely concerned about ethics, then give this place a wide berth.

I am digusted by the rudeness of the manager. When I asked about getting a table she ubrubtly told me she had nothing, with out offering me a waiting period, or asking me to wait in the beer garden, I had a small child with me who was crying and she could have helped. There was plenty of room in the beer garden too. I shall be running a campaign against this manager, as I believe she was unhelpful and rude, when she could see that I needed. Help

This is a nice venue with some great function rooms.

Lovely bar, friendly welcoming atmosphere, and the most adorable bar dog, who came for some fuss. Definitely will stop in again when im in the area.

Great evening with absolutly tasty food and attentive service. We will come back.

Exactly what a pub should be. Friendly, great food and drink, comfortable, always spotlessly clean, and beautifully decorated. The staff really care.

Awesome food! Great vibe and wonderful service! Flew all the way from Australia on a recommendation and we were not disappointed! Our waiter Daniele was superb!

They serve the very hot drinks in a glass with no handles !!!! What's the bloody point of that !!! Crap idea

The food and ambiance was very nice but I thought it was expensive especially when I saw those tiny tiny scoops of ice cream at £6!!

Nice fresh surroundings . 2 years ago our well know club had Xmas do there , food and service disgusting ! The staff were trying to hurry us out of there!

However the Pawn star Martini they serve as Cocktail is delicious @ £9.00 but worth it . Baileys on the other hand my two friends had - like a teaspoon helping @ £4.50 !!!! Only go there for cocktails . Yesterday the service was good .

Very expensive, some staff really miserable, lamb with lentils was like eating a ball of meat with no flavours at all. Never had such bad lamb. Apparently don't like customers to smoke in the outside area, at 7pm one of the staff removed all the ash trays. Never again

Food went down on our last visit not sure if it was a new chef but he had some strange food combinations and food was over seasoned

What would have otherwise been an enjoyable night celebrating in what is an attractive pub was marred by the worst customer service I have experienced in a very very long time. We visited on July 9th for a friends birthday, were at the bar with some friends ordering drinks and the staff seemed friendly enough. However after the drinks were paid for (by our friends) my fiancee picked up his ONE pint and we went out to the rear garden to see the other guests. We were out there for a minute or two, having barely wished our friend happy birthday, when one of the staff came out and took the pint out of my fiancee's hand, mumbled something incoherant and walked back inside. We were totally confused about what had happened, and when no one returned, my fiancee went back inside to ask what had happened. He was told that two pints had been taken out. The staff had accused him, their customer of walking out, walking back in and taking a second pint?!?! Only one had been ordered, poured and taken out. After arguing with the staff, confirming with our friends and then having to go back inside and PAY for another pint, before finally arguing with the manager and getting a refund, my fiancee was finally allowed to drink his pint. We never received an apology. This is absolutely disgusting service from the staff, who were not clued up enough to realise that only one pint had been poured, and there was not even enough time for someone to walk out the back with a pint, come back, steal a second one and take it out to the rear garden. The staff member literally took it out of his hand without even asking to see if their false accusation was true. And then he had to argue with the staff and did not even get an apology from the manager-or any staff for the appalling behavior. I am absolutely disgusted.
