Enjoy Kostis Daskalakis in his first London appearance!
Vague, dark, and unexpectedly comic. Like the Pythons, if the Pythons made a dystopian thriller.’ ★★★★ London Pub Theatres
RADA graduate company be•wilder theatre is back with their sellout show Old Joe's Fish and Chill for this year's Playmill Festival at the King's Head Theatre Pub.
... It was Old Joe's golden age: in a time when borders did not exist, travellers and regulars would queue up in front of the club for its famous fish and chips and colourful dance-floor. Everyone was a foreigner and everyone felt at home. Until the incident.
One year after a terrorist attack, Old Joe’s Fish and Chill looks so decrepit one might assume it’s out of business. Yet it remains the only place left in the world where people from anywhere can come and go without a visa.
There, an eccentric Greek drag queen, a solitary letter thief, a decadent dictator, a fearless refugee, an officious bureaucrat and an invisible drifter meet for the first – and possibly last – time.
Written by Stephanie Degreas and Raphael Ruiz
