User

great pub dont belive the rubbish reviews they just don't like anyone who doesn't agree with them. Would recommend this pub to anyone

User

Well done Mr. Damien Smyth for being one of the very few business owners with manners and courage extended to President Trump during his visit! Thank you for your hospitality and kindness. It's so refreshing! For all the Hippocrates shouting vile things and claiming it's in the name of Love please stop embarrassing yourselves and spewing hate at men you should be treating with Respect! I am referring to both Mr. Smyth and President Trump!

User

This is one of the finest pubs in London, please ignore those bad reviews it is untrue! We love the patriotic way this pub is welcoming President Trump who we greatly admire! so a big thank you goes to the Jameson

User

Thank you for welcoming our president. Please ignore the one star reviews as you'll notice they were all given around the same dates (Trump's visit) and likely reflect a political view rather than an actual experience. Give it try yourself & make up your own mind.

User

Brilliant place. Great food, great atmosphere and service. Would not hesitate to recommend. Wonderful people.

User

Best pub for the good old English pub experience - great atmosphere

User

As a woman, I feel quite uncomfortable walking past this pub now. Trump has said terrible terrible things about women, his actions have been aggressive.

Walking past an establishment knowing that the people inside it also share these horrible opinions about you as a woman definitely makes you feel uneasy.

User

The name change was not just the idea of landlord Damien Smyth.

The Standard reports an organiser was Patrick Sullivan- a Chief Executive of a Parliament Street think-tank, previously of the Bow Group (right wing think tank, proBrexit).

Another organiser is Lucy Brown. She worked with Tommy Robinson on the Day of Freedom rally - where the likes of (incitement to kill journalists) Milo and Kassam spoke. Now involved with Generation Identity.

More high powered manipulation by right-wingers.

User

The food is a bit too alt-right and misogynistic for most moderate people.

User

Terrible pub, they don't even know how to make a good hot roddy and the main bar smelled of sweat and passed gas.

User

Such a shame. This used to be a nice neighbourhood until EDL ex-member took over running the place with their partner. Now it has has a racist themed day planned tomorrow to celebrate the visit of a misogynist racist climate change denying sex offender. I wonder what other events planned are? Nuremberg Rally Day where you can dress up as a Nazi?

User

Selfish and ignorant owners who frequently block the road to celebrate their own parties with no thought for the locals. Just last night they played loud rock music until gone 10pm that thumped through local residences. Visitors of this pub are racists and the pub has aligned themselves with this as they forced their political views on everyone walking by. On top of this the food is disgusting and the place is dirty and unpleasant. Would give 0 stars if I could.

User

Quite frankly, a blight on the landscape. I feel bad for the people who have to live near this place, which is owned by selfish, hard faced, politically motivated bigots who seem hell-bent on attracting as much right wing scum into the area as possible. I'm not surprised the pub is in such trouble with these whackos in charge.

User

If ever there was a place to avoid it would be this place, renaming itself to honour an isolationist, racist hairdo!

This is the modern day equivalent of renaming your pub after Adolf Hitler just because you like the Volkswagen Beetle.

plenty of better pubs nearby everyone and they're not isolationist or racist.

User

I'd avoid this pub if possible. They heartily endorse racism, misogyny and ripping children away from their families and putting them in cages.

User

I came in to a vacant and filth strewn bar room and i ordered a pint, of beer. The landlord obliged whilst looking incredibly concerned about what i might think of him- checking his hair in the mirror and pouting, frequently calibrating the angle at which he stood in relation to me to allow me to only see his right 45 degree angle. Whilst he passed the pint towards me with both hands he winked and asked for seven pounds. The first gulp tasted like soap and weak barley water and then the glass disintegrated all iver the bar like it was made of sugar. Until that point he had remained impeccably, if somewhat nervously, obsequious and pleasant, yet at this point he launched into a paroxysm of screaming with the only other being in the building- a starved dog - concluding with the directive that he was now fired. As i left i heard a saccarine wimper of consoling words from a coterie of scared women or young scared men.

User

Filthy pub with no ambiance and reeks of urine. The G&Ts are very watered down. Food which is pretend Thai food was bland not very appetising.

User

Disgusted that a so called frankly tired old Irish pub should support such a vile racist pervert like Trump and be proud of it. Trump's toxic greed obviously wins over any respect for decency and humanity.

User

Beer was off and there was a lot of racist thugs who looked ready to kick off at any moment
