Food is definitely my first love. I have always loved just pottering around the kitchen cooking for all my loved ones, from helping out my mum in the kitchen when I was wee, to making my own triumphs/disasters, to now where I get to teach others and hopefully pass on a love for all things food. I think the most important thing when cooking is to just relax, take the pressure off yourself and remember it’s just a meal. No matter what the results everyone cherishes a home-cooked meal regardless of whether the edges are a little on the crispy side or you have a soggy bottom. Hope to see you at a class soon my lovelies!' Come on – who wants to cook with Tilly?! 🙌

We had a brilliant day at The Cookery School celebrating my dad’s birthday learning three quick and easy dishes from the 5 ingredients cookbook. The staff were so friendly and welcoming answering all of our cookery questions, even if they weren’t related to the dishes. Our chef Jack created a fun and relaxed environment that inspired us to get creative on the kitchen and excited to cook again. Looking forward to sharing what I learnt with my family and being able to serve quick, easy, heathy, restaurant quality food at home. Can’t wait to come back again soon!

User

We got to make pasta from scratch, the first time I've ever attempt to do so and was surprised just how easy and quick it can be. Simple ingredients, simple process and great fresh tasty result. I can guarentee you I'll be trying this again at home. Great chef, with a good sense of humor, explained everything during demos in detail making sure we all knew what we were doing and we all succeeded in completing each task.

User

This was a lovely birthday present from my daughter who knew I needed inspiration having given up meat last year. We made lots of different vegetable curries which I will now make at home. Would be happy to go again and try something new. Great job, Jamie's.

User

This was a birthday present from my dear wife.

Knife skills cookery course. A fantastic day learning how to hold a knife and not remove fingers, cook great food. I even filleted and cooked fish, enjoyed it even though I have never touched or eaten fish unless it came from the chip shop with batter on it! Great staff with fantastic humour and always keeping eye on us. Thank you Alice and Katie.

Will definitely be returning.

User

Learnt so much in a short amount of time, chef was a great teacher with lots of enthusiasm and encouragement. At the end, you get to sit down and eat the food that you have prepared with others on the course. Really good value for money!

I went to learn how to cook North Indian Thali yesterday with my nephew Dharmesh Modi. I got given this experience for a Christmas present. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Our chef Francesco was brilliant. He took his time to explain each stage and what ingredients to use. He demonstrated to us how to put the dishes together and imparted useful tips to us. We took the plunge and started to cook. Made a few mistakes along the way. I put in too much water when making the Chapatti dough. But I was impressed at how perfectly round my chapattis turned out. We enjoyed the tasting at the end and the Prosecco at the beginning. To say I was nervous at the beginning and didn’t know what to expect is an understatement. But Francesco and the rest of team made me feel at ease. I enjoyed the experience so much. Thanxx U Francesco and the rest of the team at Jamie Oliver Cookery School, Westfield, London. It a HUGE thumbs up from me.

I attended the Knife Skills course on Sunday 24th June, this was a birthday present from my wife. The session was taken by Tom, very informative, everything was described really well and then when we were left to practice what we had learnt, there was plenty of help if required. A brilliant couple of hours and I'll definitely be returning.

Great time learning to cook steak at the Jamie Oliver Cookery School. Milly, the teacher, was very good (although sorry but you do sound a bit like Miranda even when you are trying to sound like Jamie by calling the steaks 'bad boys'). I have been cooking my steaks all wrong for so many years! A taste sensation.

User

Fascinating to discover just how much I’ve not been using a knife properly, courtesy of the Jamie Oliver cookery school, but, hey, never too late to learn. It was terrifying, thrilling, and really rather informative to prepare your own stir fry with your ingredients all ready to be chopped. This is the nearest I’m going to get to Bake Off - it’s actually pretty scary to be cooking at the same time as other people, who were all faster than I was, although they were, I hope, too terrified and preoccupied with getting their own stuff done properly to judge me. Needless to say I cut my finger, and was the last to finish. (There was the same rabbit in headlines sensation I have when learning choreography.) But I did eventually get the hang of it, and it’s going to be huge fun putting this learning into practice: from now on, Ishall always peel ginger with a teaspoon. And on top of that I got to eat my own (rather delicious) lunch.

User

Fantastic day bread making with the wonderful Tilly. Learnt some wonderful skills and can’t wait to start making bread at home.
