The Jester is delightfully situated in the hamlet of Odsey, just off the A505, close to the Hertfordshire /Cambridgeshire border. Nearby towns include Royston and Baldock. The Jester blends the finer points of a country pub and dining experience with a more contemporary feel of eight luxury bedrooms. Fabulous food and real ales are always on offer. A warm welcome and comfortable surroundings ensure a great experience when visiting The Jester Country Inn. You will find a spacious and welcoming bar /dining area decorated in comfortable, modern style with a blazing log fire on colder days. The conservatory provides additional dining space and access to the garden behind the pub.
The Jester Country Inn offers two function rooms suitable for parties for any age group, club or society meetings or dinners, family reunions, weddings, christenings and funerals. The Jester’s 116 Suite can accommodate up to 70 people formally and 120 informally, our smaller room the Odsey Suite can accommodate 20- 40 people.

One of our weekend specials... Swordfish & Coconut curry with lime rice and salad! We are serving traditional toasts today with beef, pork, chicken and nut roast as well as a selection of other dishes. Sunday lunch served 12-3pm and evening service 6:30-8:30pm with full menu.

All proceeds to go towards funding Steeple Morden primary school's library renovation.
Due to how busy or last quiz night was we recommend that you reserve a table but it's not essential.

We eat at The Jester at least once a month and the food is always fabulous. There is a full menu with lots of choice and usually some lovely alternatives on the specials board. Great value, great choice and great service. Can thoroughly recommend.

Tho we only stayed for the one night, it's a perfectly lovely pub/inn/hotel, comfy room and a great breakfast in the morning, also the staff a need a special mention too, couldn't do enough, thanks everyone, Kim & Paul x
This fine inn was the venue for my daughters wedding. The staff were superb the food was exceptional I cannot recommend this place enough. We stayed all weekend along with some of our guests all of whom could not praise it enough either
Thank you to Ceri and the staff at the Jester for all your help and making mine and Martin wedding day so special. The food was excellent and the staff were very helpful. The venue was also decorated to how we want. Just a wonderful experience. Also the girls loved there breakfast each morning. We will definitely be coming back for meals now. Thank you again. Xxx

My family and I came from Glasgow for my cousins wedding on Friday. We'll what a lovely welcome we received at the jester, with good food and comfy beds, what more could you want.
Lovely meal, staff very friendly and attentive, meal was excellent, would recommend, very relaxed atmosphere and quite.
Lovely food and good service as always Had our wedding reception at the jester nearly twenty years ago so always a favourite place to go back too.
I would recommend this hotel to all. A small, family run hotel, That has fantastic staff, comfortable bedrooms, amazing and varied food. Could not find a thing wrong. Only stayed for one night but it was lovely. Thank you all.
Had an anniversary dinner here tonight with my husband and 4yr old.
All three meals (Giant Yorkshire with beef, fish n chips and kids ham, egg, chips and beans) were delicious, hot and really generous portion sizes. We all had desserts and agin delicious and generous portions.
The surroundings are relaxed and you aren't rushed between courses.
Highly recommended and will definitely be our new first choice for a meal out.

Drove past and thought it looked cosy so went in . Warm and welcoming , fast service delivering excellent food all eaten by roaring fire ! Could easily have stayed all day !!
Amazing hotel we- Mr Casson and the now Mrs nadine Casson- can not begin to thank you Ceri and your staff enough for making our day so so special from the wonderful food the lovely garden for the photo back drop to your above and beyond attitude even down to helping with our little princess when they were beyond tired and the amazing day had taken its toll on the 4 and 9 yrs old girls.
