We used to live in Cranham but moved overseas a year ago. I’d never been inside after the place got a face lift. I was pleasantly surprised today. The manager was very visible and active the whole time we were there - she’s definitely running a good show. The Doombar tasted great. The Sunday roast lamb was very good. It’s been tastefully decorated and decent parking space too. We’d definitely go back.

Visited tonight for our first visit and i can't wait to return. Absolutely delicious food, great staff and environment. My mum is Coeliac, and the GF food on offer is quite extensive; my mum said it's the best tasting GF bread she's ever had! Steak was divine, Baked Alaska-delicious. Nothing seemed too much effort. Can't wait to come back, just wish I was a bit closer & the Jobbers was my local :) Thank you and keep up the great work.

The Jobbers Rest Upminster hosted my retirement send off beautifully. They service was excellent as was the food. The staff were very accommodating and I would recommend them highly. Thank you for helping to make my evening such a success.

Simply wowed with the amazing flavours from this hidden little gem!... food amazing!.. service worthy of any Mayfair or Chelsea Restaraunt... and what lovely staff always sporting an infectious smile!... I haven't had good honest English food like this since I ate in the lake district where everything is sourced from the mountain farms!... tell your friends to tell their friends... also very good value for money.. the venue is nice and clean toilets spotless... it's the silly little things like the cups are always kept upside down in to the saucers preventing dust... they clearly understand 5 star service!... thank u... can't wait to try something else on your beautiful menu!... review from a former chef that has served the rich and elite of London town!

Service & food exceptional!! not overpriced either, for me the service made it more enjoyable not many places nowadays where you get the small personal touches of good customer service, made a quick impromptu dinner with my daughter far more pleasant. Will definitely be returning for the dessert I couldn’t fit in after 2 lovely courses.

Second visit to this restaurant and again found the staff friendly and helpful. Food was excellent,although they run out of vanilla ice cream.

Had lovely meal for our anniversary Saturday. And thank you for complimentary drink

Food excellent, staff lovely and knowledgeable. The only negative I have is the fries were so salty my niece was trying to wipe the salt off hers! I am a salt addict and for me to say that means they really were salty but that doesn’t stop me highly recommending it overall.

First visit and found good food and great service will be back and definitely recommend it

Fantastic service, our waitress was brilliant, thank you so much because of my daughters allergies and the birthday surprise at the end !!!

Fabulous pub/restaurant food was amazing luvely outside area very friendly luvely staff can’t wait to visit again ��

Absolutely delicious starters, mains & desert. The staff were incredibly friendly even telling me to relax as long as needed...was feeling a bit delicate from the night before! Will definitely be back 100%

Brilliant experience with excellent service and food, from the phone call the evening before going for the meal, to our arrival and throughout the meal. Our small dog was welcomed in the bar area with water and a saucer of dog biscuits and our meals were all delicious with a good choice from the set menu and the al a carte menu, which both contained vegetarian and vegan options.

A delight to find such a friendly meeting point just a short drive from the M25 and A12. We will be visiting The Jobbers Rest again. Thank you.

First visit since the new restaurant opened, food was lovely, lots to choose from, everyone really enjoyed their meals. Our waitress Sophie was very friendly. Would definitely recommend the restaurant and will be returning soon!

Been here a few times to eat and each time the food has been great! Good selection of beers and the only pub I’ve ever been to that has Fleurie on tap! The staff here are excellent and the service has always been superb!! It’s little things that stops me giving this place 5 stars, how can a bar run out of tonic water? Also I rang a few days before and asked if I could add another 2 people to our table of 8 and was told they were fully booked for Saturday night and it wouldn’t be possible, she then said she’d see if they could shuffle the tables a bit and squeeze the 2 extra in for us. They did agree it was possible so on the night we had our table of 10. But the place wasn’t full there were quite a few tables available throughout the night!

Had a meal last night drinks we ordered at the bar the tonic was warm so melted the ice and watered down the drink bar staff didn't know the menu so had to ask for cucumber for my drink. Food was ok and service was ok but had someone else's food brought to our table twice. Unfortunately there was a group people at the bar that were shouting and screaming which made it feel like a local pub than a high end restaurant/bar especially when charging high end prices. Maybe we were just unlucky.
