Following government advice we have made the heart-breaking decision that it will no longer be feasible to trade.

The Kitty Hawk Description

This beautiful centrepiece is our pollock dish. But we don’t waste a single bit of any fish we fillet. We use the pollock cheeks in a starter dish and the roe goes into our taramasalata.

We had the pleasure of attending a pre-opening sitting at this unique style restaurant and we were certainly not disappointed!

I had read a few online reviews and in all honestly I was feeling a little confused about what to expect. It is described as a "Department store of Dining" and now I have been, I completely understand this as it has something for everyone; two bars, a downstairs grill restaurant, private dining or corporate meeting area (with a hidden screen behind a high quality wooden panel so only visible when needed) and an all day dining counter. All this and they also as a separate coffee/deli shop!

We were greeted on arrival by very friendly staff who took our coats and showed us to the bar area. When our table was ready we were shown downstairs whilst a lovely lady carried our drinks down for us.

Our waitress took our order on a small tablet and this is where i get very excited.... after taking our drinks order she clicked "send" and while halfway through our food order our drinks arrived!!! I was so impressed as a pet hate of mine is waiting ages for your drinks and in some places they arrive after the food! This has clearly been cleverly thought out with input from people in the food & beverage industry!!

All dishes are delivered on a lovely wooden trolley but to start you off you get to select your choice of chives/herbs that get mixed with olive oil for your selected bread. Such a great, personal touch!

The food was beyond amazing!! To start we had the Steak Tartare which was mixed with our choice of pepper, gherkin or mustard and with a quails egg on top! (you choose what you want and how much and they mix it together there and then). It tasted fantastic.

There was a great selection of mains from

Meat, fish and salads. We both went for our favourite; 10oz Rib Eye with a side of mac & cheese. Speaking to staff we discovered that their Steak is Ashdale Beef sourced directly from the West Country. In plain English, it is not sold in many places and it literally was the best steak we have ever tasted!!!! Highly recommended if you do visit (which you should!).

For dessert I had the Decadent Chocolate cake. It looked more like a cookie but had all the taste and texture of a professionally baked cake made by their specialist on-site pastry chef! My partner had the Warm Winter Crumble with custard, he was a little dubious about the almonds but thoroughly enjoyed it (I had to beg for a taste!!).

The Kitty Hawk has incorporated many old London elements like the decor, the trolleys and uniforms but also has many modern elements combined.

I highly recommend a visit and am confident that you won't be disappointed. We cannot wait to go back!!!!

User

Thought the staff were so professional, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious! Definitely recommend it for a small or large group. Great address

User

Thank you Chloe and team for helping us make our girls night out so incredible last night. You guys went out of your way to fit us in with multiple tables, kept us updated with what was happening, and the service you provided us was greatly appreciated! Thank you! We will be back!

User

Kitty Hawk looked after a large group of us, every meal was perfect, starters and mains. The staff were friendly and the lady looking after our group was particularly attentive and helpful which made us feel special. The whole team really enjoyed the evening and the food and we would definitely dine there again! Recommend for a team dinner/large group as well as just drinks in the bar which has a nice relaxed but buzzy atmosphere

User

Kitty Hawk has all good things in one place.....really enjoyed the Brasserie area with lots of sharing dishes to enjoy with the very well chosen selection of wines and cocktails.

They have a great bar area and the music is subtle so you can still enjoy your company. The main restaurant also has a private dining area and the steak is highly recommended...the whole place feels relaxed whatever you choose, from breakfast, brunch, through to dinner or late night treats - this is why it is called the complete dining experience....

Staff are all amazing, with great enthusiasm and a smile.

Will definitely be a regular visitor, thank you Kitty Hawk and its inspired management team!

User

Great relaxed atmosphere and fab place. Will be a regular for me

User

Amazing venue, stunning decor, fab food and great service, music lively but not too loud for the restaurant section. New York vibe in London! Fresh concept for the city, will be back

User

Amazing venue beautifully decorated, something different to the norm. Suitable for a range of occasions with passion and quality the focus in all its many areas.

A well trained team on top of their game.

Can't wait to return!

User

Amazing dining experience, fantastic food combinations and flavours, knowledgeable and helpful staff and really great atmosphere. Would recommend to anyone looking for a stylish venue, great service and a diverse menu in the city.

User

We found the service attentive but not overbearing. The complimentary bread was a bit doughy (and we had to ask for butter), but the ribeye was flavoursome and very tender. The Rioja was also exceptional and went well with the steak.

User

Was very happy to come across this on the evening of mine and my husbands birthday. Our table at a different restaurant wasn't until 7pm so had an hour to kill. Perfect find in Moorgate with beautiful decor. £15 for a pint and a large savingnan blanc but it is London!! The large central 'table top' fire was beautiful but impossible to sit round if you feel the heat!! 😓. Beautiful toilets, although they're downstairs with the restaurant and cocktail bar. Well worth a visit!!

User

I loved the food and the service we had. Only gripe is they sell unheard of spirits. They need to go mainstream with the brands we know. We had a few bottles of whisky that were supposed to be on par with johnny walker blue label. Sorry to say they didn't come close. More like an equivalent to asda smartprice. Sorry to be so blunt but you need to get the proper premium drinks. Apart from that, amazing venue, amazing food but saving the best for last.... amazing customer service! Will deffo go back for the food.

User

Service was pretty bad. I know it was lunchtime but even then we had a table booked for about 15 people. My drink order was wrong. Who would want a disaronno straight at around 1pm?! Food came cold too. Waited ages.

User

Terrible service for a beautiful place. The waitress didn't know the menu and then told us they didn't do bottled larger. Then we asked for any beers and she said we do bottles of Estrella!! Waited ages to order food.. It turned up luke warm and at £19 my tiny portion of pork belly was more like Welly not belly

I won't be going back. What a shame as is a beautiful place

User

Great food but the service was pretty bad for a restaurant of this calibre. Took them 50 minutes to take our order and another 50 minutes to bring our food. One of the dishes was wrong so one diner then had to wait another 10 minutes for her meal. And this was on a Monday night when 70% of the restaurant was empty. I hate to think what it's like on a busy Saturday night!!! The food was gorgeous though, they just need to improve the service.

User

What an awful experience, the service was appalling and the food less than average. I had to send my steak back because it was so tough I couldn't chew it and my chips were cold. The waitress was also rude and I will not be returning.

User

Tried the "Jerk" Chicken sandwich for £5.95... pale, dry, never seen more than salt and pepper as a seasoning in its life disappointment... you could report them for false advertising it's so far removed from jerk anything.... oh and it had tomato in it.

User

Lovely venue , but everything else let’s it down, poor choice on menu, no kids menu, bread on table was stale, one of the burger buns had to be sent back as it was stale also , my steak was very nice, the waiter was nice but not very attentive forgot a drink here and there. And the price was way over the top ! Over £200 for 4 main meals and some drinks, no starters no desserts. Won’t go there again.
