Went for Sunday dinner today (Mothering Sunday) with my mother and two daughters - excellent food and service couldn't fault a thing - just would like to know now is every Sunday a carvery?

We stayed last night at 29, the Huxtable suite. Fantastic suite and the Hot tub was brilliant. I was dubious on booking as I didn't know if we would 'fit in'. Staff was polite and helpful, the breakfast was great, when anything ran out on the buffet style breakfast it was quickly replaced. Great late valentines booking and we will definitely be returning. Everything was ready for our stay and we felt very welcomed.

We stayed in a superior room with a view over the golf course. Room was fab and service on reception and later in the restaurant was great. The only niggle for me was the privacy element when we'd have liked to throw our curtains open on our huge bedroom window as we enjoyed the room and view but we had a couple of side windows in adjacent lodges overlooking... Privacy glass would have been perfect.

Food in the restaurant was very good and excellent value too. £13.95 for a very nice lamb massamam curry and desserts all under £6 though we were too full to indulge.

We stayed here on our wedding night ! Arrived to swan towels and rose petals on the bed without this being requested, such a lovely touch ! Hot tub and room were amazing !!! Can not fault it at all we had an amazing stay x

We just wanted to say a big ‘Thank You’ to the KP for helping to organise and hosting our wedding reception on the 21/04/18. We had an amazing day with every second running perfectly and we have received so many lovely comments from our guests about how relaxed the day/evening was. The setting is absolutely beautiful and we couldn’t have asked for better weather! From our initial enquiries and planning for the day Marie was very helpful in assisting us answering all of our questions and making sure we were happy at every stage of the planning process. On the day, all of the waiting & bar staff were friendly and helpful and Mark in particular did an excellent job balancing professionalism to ensure that the day ran smoothly while also making us feel welcome and relaxed with his fun sense of humour. Nothing was too much trouble and many of our guests have also commented on the politeness and efficiency of all the staff. The food was amazing and enjoyed by all but especially by one of our guests who has a gluten & dairy allergy. She has never been to an event before and been able to feel 100% confident that everything would be ok for her and also taste lovely and she was really impressed with her meal and the knowledge of the staff who served her. To finish off a perfect day, we stayed in the Huxtable suite and enjoyed some time to relax in the hot tub - the room was comfortable and spotlessly clean & the next morning we enjoyed breakfast with some of our family. Once again we were welcomed warmly by staff and nothing was too much trouble for them as they moved tables and chairs so that we could all sit together and made sure everyone was happy and had what they needed. We would highly recommend the KP Resort for any special occasions and look forward to returning throughout the year to enjoy the restaurant & your new spa. Visited for a wedding. As well as enjoying the beautiful views, meal and atmosphere I was very happy with how the staff went out of their way for me.

I was nervous about attending such a big event with a breastfed baby and feeding my baby around such a large group of people.

The staff allowed me to use one of the meeting rooms and ensured the room was private and I wouldn’t be interrupted.

Made a huge difference to the day and me and my baby girl were very comfortable.

Thumbs up, we’ll be back for an overnight stay 😀

The KP was our first and only choice for our wedding venue. They were great in showing us around and were happy to change and amend things right up until the day before the wedding. All the staff on the day were great but a special thank you to Mark and Ashleigh, they really did everything they could to ensure everything ran smoothly on the day and that ourselves and our guests had everything we needed. Also the food was amazing! All of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was.

Stayed here at the weekend for my husband's birthday . We were very impressed .

We stayed in the huxtable suit which was gorgeous with own private hot tub .

Food was amazing we loved our breakfast. Staff were very friendly . Only one thing could do with a cocktail menu at the bar .

We loved our stay and will definitely be back .

Stay in room 14 Huxtable suite...fantastic again well worth the visit. Hot tub clean and very warm. Breakfast was superb. It's our second visit in 3 months, this time as a surprise to the wife for her birthday. Always welcome. Clean tidy place great view out to the golf course when stood out near the hot tub.

Spent new year here 30th dec to 3rd jan beautiful surroundings very spacious, didn't want to come home � hot tub was great the boys enjoyed the use of the gym would recommend to anyone and will deffinetety book again in the future �

Me and my partner stayed valentines weekend in lodge 30, the Huxtable, we were so impressed with the quality of the room and facilities. We even considered our next trip! We also had a meal in the on site restaurant which was beautiful.

Lovely couple of hours at the KP this evening, we walked up with the dogs and enjoyed some evening sunshine. The bar man was really helpful and went and got the dogs a bowl of iced water! Beer and wine for me and the hubby... was a nice change and we forget it’s on our doorstep �

Just spent 3 nights/4 days here for Rachael and Adam's wedding. Perfect in every way. Amazing Venue, lodges, food, staff - nothing too much trouble. Definitely 5*. Thank you so much for making it a truly special experience for Mr and Mrs Foster and all of their guests xxxx

Just returned from a lovely stay here, the lodge was spacious and modern. Hot tub was great and inspected daily. We ate lunch and dinner here, the food was very tasty and all the staff were friendly and attentive.

Just returned after 3 nights in lodge 16. Had an amazing weekend. The staff are friendly and will do anything for you. We came for breakfast this morning just before it finished and they brought items to our table that were in the self serve bit. Sunday lunch was lovely too. Will definitely be returning.

Just home from a lovely family break here. The accommodation was excellent will plenty of space, the setting was peaceful and in a great location to explore York and surrounding areas and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We will definitely return and will recommend you to friends and family too.

I have just been to the glasshouse restaurant for a meal with family and it was great! The food and staff were lovely! Looking forward to my next booking! Highly recommended!

I did a surprise 30th birthday party for my friend this weekend we was in lodge 35 the York Delux it was fabulous ideal for a girlie weekend away , the place and views are beautiful, the staff were very helpful in geting us a taxi to Pocklington . Would highly recommend the KP club thankyou x

Overall I had a magical time here! The grounds are so picturesque the sun was just setting as we arrived it was beautiful. I would say it's perfect for a short get away!

I attended my niece's wedding on New Year's Eve. What a fabulous day from start to finish. The lodge was lovely, the venue perfect and the food fabulous. Everything ran so smoothly and the staff, all of them, were attentive and helpful.

Huge thank you to all staff at the KP , from Marie who booked us in so quickly and altered their diary to allow us to get married on the day we wanted and to Mark reassuring and looking after groom and guests before the event , and to Ashleigh who stayed behind after her shift had finished to ensure our day went off without any hitches , had quite simply the best wedding possible to which me and my wife loved every second of it, amazing food , fantastic accommodation.

Arrived home today after spending the weekend here for my hen party. Absolutely loved every second! The lodges are beautiful, views are stunning and the staff are very friendly. Can't wait to come back �

Amazing!!! The lodge was huge and very clean, hot tub is the biggest I’ve ever seen and checked every morning by staff. The site is immaculate and well maintained. The weather wasn’t great so would love to come back and visit again in the summer months to enjoy the outside space. Thank you for a lovely stay will definately return.

Absolutely brilliant! We stayed in the huxtable suite with a hot tub and it was great. Suite was lovely and in a good location, the hot tub was wonderful. We had dinner in the restaurant which was also very nice, I would definitely recommend dining there. I will definitely be coming back. Overall highly recommended!

We love the kp! Just got back from our annual weekend there, this was our 6th year.

Although we do love the resort, the lodges do need a bit of attention now. Nothing major but for the price we pay (£1000 and over for 3 nights) everything should be perfect. Like I said, it's nothing major just little things that are now starting to add up. Having said this, we have booked for our 7th year and are hoping to see some improvements.

We had a lovely girls night in. Lovely rooms, nice food & great service. Just 2 niggles really the curtain was coming off the rail in our room, lodge 31. Also the hot tubs are a tight squeeze for 8!!

Stayed last night for my birthday, stayed in the Huxstable suite . Jacuzzi was lovely n it felt fairly private. Peaceful at night . Didn't use the hotel facilities really, except when we arrived , we were offered a drink whilst we waited for our room, as we were fifteen minutes early. Reception was pleasant too. . Shower head in the bathroom was slightly broken . Lovely having a half hour jacuzzi this morning before setting for for York. Everything else was fabulous and would stay here again .

My partner booked this weekend away for my birthday. We were very pleased at the lodge we stayed in and had a lovely weekend away. Beautiful surroundings, lovely food in the restaurant and peace and quiet. Just what we needed!



When when we arrived we were given a complimentary voucher to spend in the restaurant as their was a fault with one of the doors leading out to the decking area which we did not notice and the hot tub was lovely!



Staff were friendly and we do not have anything negative to say about our visit. Will definitely come back and would recommend.

Stayed here last night would never return! Told I couldn’t park my car outside cabin and had to walk from car park to cabin at 30 weeks pregnant in snow and ice after 2 phone calls to reception finally allowed to park back outside our cabin, noise all night, bed was the worse I’ve ever slept in and hot tub was luke warm !! Far far far over priced rooms could of had a better room else where for half the price!!

Luxury lodges lacking luxury, checked in for one Sunday night, had a carvery for dinner no complaints at all beautiful food friendly staff very reasonably priced, the views and sights along with the sun was beautiful!

But... prior to travel We was informed via email that as we were booked in for food we would be able to get in the room that little bit early on showing the email, unfortunately we were told on arrival NO you can’t, then was told there was no car park spot for our lodge but other lodges had two spots but can’t use them (not 100% sure If all lodges around us was occupied!)

We were booked in the Huxstable suite and room was clean, hot tub was perfect and parshly private! Room smelt a little damp after we’d all had showers etc!!

Information about the room wasn’t brilliant but basic! Wi-fi wasn’t great but not a massive issue!

Overall for what the cost is I don’t really think it’s worth the money there’s not a lot to do unless your soul point of visit is drink and hot tub! We had a nice stay don’t get me wrong but excepted a lot more!

Just had a round of golf there today so can only comment on that. Clearly a lot of investment gone into the resort and I think it now just needs to mature. The course will develop but in its infancy I think more can be done in regards to the drainage that looks to have just been added, filling the gaps left with sand is not good I had to check my trolley several time thinking it’d been damaged hitting the holes left not to mention what it does to the golf ball when it hits a sand filled crater. The makings of a great course but more attention needed in the details.

Hired two log cabins for the weekend one was okay the other not so good, windows not too clean on arrival and flys galore in the upstair room no windows open when we arrived so not too sure how these gained entry. The outside table has a glass top with sharp edges this is not child friendly. The golf course maintenance decided to cut the grass at 5 o,clock outside our bedroom. Ready for home for a rest.

Well where do I begin!!! We have been visiting kP on & off for a few yrs ! Like the location / lovely views ect! I’ve never been overly impressed with the food so havent eaten there too often!!! I no that it’s been taken over recently!! So I was hoping for better food ? Yesterday I took our friends there, it was extremely busy!! Not an issue,but the noise from a table near us was beyond ridiculous! We Couldn’t have a conversation without shouting.The place has done its self no favours as the type of clientele isn’t what it used to be a while ago! We did eat there service was fantastic, our husbands food was good, we ladies had the healthy option salmon,Mediterranean veg & New potatoes! It’s was served to us looking delicious however no potatoes at all! A thing under the veg we didn’t no what it’s was !! Asked the server who said politely that the chef has decided to change from new pots to this round price of what looked like filo pastry !!! My friend wouldn’t eat it,I ate some as I was hungry!! Would have expected a better reaction to our complaint!! As we should have been this us on ordering!! We will not be visiting-again!! It’s not my kinda place anymore

Visited the KP after my friends wedding on 29th Dec. Arrived at the lodge to find cracks in the walls.Took a bath the night we arrived however water was luke warm (basically cold!!!)

Went to bed after a long day to hear doors slamming ALL NIGHT! It was so noisy! At one point I got out of bed because it sounded like someone was knocking at my door!



Breakfast the next morning well... wow the worst eggs Benedict I’ve ever had! Ham was brown and tasted gone off and the eggs were like hard boiled. Staff at breakfast didn’t even offer me another breakfast after I complained and sent it back.



After being highly recommended to us we were looking forward to the stay however very unsatisfied. Will NOT be recommending or returning.



Lastly on my check out I was assured the manager would be contacting me in the week, with a week passed I have had no form of contact. Awful customer service!!

Booked the huxtable suite at £213 for the night including breakfast. The hot tub was the main appeal for this booking. I had confirmed with the kp club during the week I would check in about 4pm. At 6pm we went to use the hot tub, which was cold at 29 degrees. I could see that the temperature should be 40 degrees. We rang reception to be told the hot tub guy had gone home, put the cover on it and give it an hour. At 7.30pm it was at 31degrees and still not warm enough to be comfortable to sit in. It was clear it had not been turned on early enough during the day to be hot enough for when we arrived. Again reception offered no solution or alternative when we spoke to them again. By 10.30 it was at 36 degrees and useable. Poor service And not acceptable for the cost of the room. We have managed to speak to management days later after the stay, and they are very slow to respond claiming they have staff on annual leave, and 4 days later have not offered any explanation or compensation

We stayed for one night in a room in one of the Lodges. Bad Idea! The settings are beautiful and the place is wonderful.

There was a function on Saturday, clearly a very large party, so guests were in multiple Lodges. In our Lodge upstairs the guests from the function decided they were going to continue their fabulous evening. Sadly for us we were wanting a peaceful tranquil restful location as is described. We called the out of hours number, got dressed and went to reception.... Nobody answered or were on hand to help. Texts and voicemails were left... That was Saturday night, it's Monday evening now and despite asking for a manager to call ...nobody has.

We asked the guys upstairs to call it a night and respect we wished to sleep... Abuse!

I am shocked that KP's management have not followed up, as they do not have any who work on a Sunday. I would never have written anything normally other than positive reviews but they clearly o not care....would have liked that they did as the receptionist said they would and call me on my mobile number which I gave her.

It's such a shame the person who plans guest services and room allocation has not considered their guests.

Just arrived to find hot tub lid smashed to pieces, rang reception to be told one on order and that all the polystyrene floating in the hot tub is from the lid... hot tub at 25 degrees unlikely to get any hotter due to smashed lid. Customer services say no other lodges available what a waste of money

Just arrived and have to say yet to see evidence of luxury...... walls marked, floor held together by masking tape, hairs in draws, faulty kitchen equipment. I could go on.

Do not book here as expectations as misleading.
