We went to watch the royal wedding,

I must say we were very impressed, and the lexicon staff were so helpful ,they even came round with Cushions for everyone to sit on and the girls loved the cupcakes and crown decorating,Thank you for a lovely day .

Shopping and eating in Bracknell is so much better than it used to be however we still need a Wilko, Bella Italia, TK Maxx, HomeSense, JoJo Maman bebe, B&M, bigger Argos, Mothercare, one or two big furniture stores/bed store, DFS, Hobbycraft, Smyths Toys superstore, Giraffe restaurant, Chiquitos, bigger stationary/office store, alternative carpet store, B&Q, small HMV/independent vinyl record store, Schuh, Creams, pancake/waffle type eatery and jacket potato type eatery, lingerie store. There is a huge lack of choice and indeed quality in underwear/kids and teenwear/kids toys/maternity/baby clothes and shoes. I've looked in Boots, Marks and Spencer, Fenwicks (which is expensive), Peacocks, H&M, Clarkes and Office. So still having to go to Reading and Camberley for these. Also no history or museum or music festivals or big shows. Who's proactively phoning these companies and trying to get them here?

Massive thanks to the guy who found my mum's missing bag earlier this morning security guards helped us locate it and the cleaner (with the trolley)(sorry not sure of correct job title) that found it and brought it to us!!! Massive thanks from me and mum (cant tag her sorry) it just slipped out of her hand and we didn't notice until about 10 mins later! We retraced step and was sure it was gone for ever! Please pass on the thanks to the guy!! Thanks again x x x

Lovely relaxing place. Lovely shops. Places to eat. Hope it stays like that. I will be going back.

Love shopping at The Lexicon. Easy and reasonably priced parking (Bracken Walk car park is normally empty - same price as The Avenue and brings you out next to Primark) great choice of shops and places to eat. Would benefit from another pub, maybe too many coffee shops but a lovely, easy shopping experience

User

LOVE IT. So much better than it used to be. Something for everyone and it's being kept so clean. The beer can drinkers seem to have gone too. :). FANTASTIC.

User

Fantastic place to visit , spoilt for choice with restaurants and great hotel the Grange , wonderful shops and easy access.

What improvements have been achieved makes Bracknell more of a place I would now go shopping just as a change of surrounding but the new builds are much as you would get anywhere else in refurbished towns. However that said, it was easy to access via bus and rail. If driving then the parking fees are horrendous and should be lower than average to attract more interest. I liked it but do feel it has lost a bit of its quirky charm and community feel. I will definitely go again.

Visited on Sunday morning. Local roads lacked directional signage to get me to the Avenue car park (coming from A329M). Easy to park once I got there. All very smart and modern. Clean. First store we came to was #superdry which was great! Pretty underwhelmed with the number and variety of shops after that. I thought the place was going to be a lot bigger. Is there more to come behind the hoarded off area??? Cinema and food area looked decent tho. Need to get and fill all the empty units, quick. Probably won't bother returning as, I'm nearer to @oraclereading and #lexicon has nothing more to offer.

Huge, great, beautiful. It should be recommended for the best model high street.

Now the bits I would like to see improved: Lexicon parking uses coins as tickets in this day and age instead of ANPR and paper tickets. Oh yes the machines do not accept the new £10 notes either. Also if u r with a buggy or need assistance to with lifts to come down then you have to go into the Grange hotel to come down.

Overall it is a decent place on a dry day not as huge as Reading but still good shops and modern high street look.

Fantastic event last night for the football. Shame it was no alcohol but I can understand why. Only things missing was a little half time music

User

Clean, open centre, which has its pros and cons. Even though it was busy when I went, it didn’t feel crowded, and there are some good stores there. Downside was that the wind whips round on a cold day so wrap up. There are plenty of maps, but there’s no numerical list, which would really help you find things easier. One last thing: get something like HMV or similar, so there’s somewhere for blokes to browse whilst the ladies look at shoes and clothes.

Was I expecting more ? Being my home town and the developers having the other town centres to better. Pushing the limits that bit further than others. Making the lexicon a truly WOW factor town. But no it’s nothing special at all just Bracknell town as it was with a twist of modern. Ok it’s got teething problem car park payment issues empty shops etc. But high Wycombe and reading town so much more. Fingers crossed it will get better maybe a few changes and more choice

User

Sad to see the local landmarks gone. Would have expected there to be a place for charity in the centre of my town. Shops are fine, but nothing I didn't already have access to. Would have liked some diverse and unique local businesses. I don't feel it's built with me in mind, but three stars as it seems popular with others.

User

Nowhere to buy an ice cream on a hot day - disappointing!

User

I was expecting great things after all the publicity...but sadly I was disappointed. Same generic shops as anywhere else, poor signage which led to confusion, queues in the resturants and too few toilets...could do with having a few more spread out throughout the centre instead of the large (only one we could find) next to the carpark.

User

I visited yesterday and we parked in princess square which was a reasonable price. We only needed to go to Argos to collect something but ventured out to Primark which I was impressed with and had a drink in coffee republic. We didn't go anywhere else as didn't have much time but would like to visit again to have a better look around.

User

A huge improvement since the town has undergone its regeneration with a lot more to offer in terms of shops and restaurants. Not impressed with the parking. Parked at Princess Square, paid and got shopping, two sleeping babies and double buggy into car only to have issues exiting the carpark. Was informed that once you’ve paid for parking you have only 3 minutes to get to the exit barrier! Unreasonable, especially if disabled or travelling with young children.
