CBD is quickly becoming one of the most popular new supplements on the market, if you search for it, you’ll be bombarded with hundreds of different CBD supplements telling you why theirs is the best. As for other supplements, it can be difficult to know which one is the best quality for the best price.
We don’t make CBD, but we do source the very best for our patients at The Mayfair Clinic.
With CBD, there are 3 main criteria you should look for when trying to find the best ...quality supplement:
1.Extraction method 2.Bioavailability 3.Warning/signs the CBD quality is low
As there are different ways the CBD oil is extracted from the plant, some are safer than others, and will maintain the purity of the oil, some other ways can be toxic. It can also affect how much CBD your body absorbs, which is important in ensuring the quality of the CBD.
If you know what CBD is, and are looking for help finding the right CBD for you, watch the video and hit the link below.

Here at The Mayfair Clinic we are able to effectively treat many different conditions associated with neck and back pain because we use some of the latest, most specific spinal technologies.
However there are instances where a patient's presentation of back pain would be classified as a medical emergency, e.g. Cauda Equina Syndrome. Although this is very rare, it is important that you are aware of what to look out for.
Cauda Equina Syndrome usually presents with a triad of sy...mptoms: ❗Back Pain ❗Numbness in the saddle area (groin, buttocks and inner thighs) ❗Bladder or bowel incontinence
Sometimes these symptoms will develop rapidly, but other times it can be a more gradual onset. In either case, Cauda Equina Syndrome (in the presence of two or more of these symptoms) needs immediate medical attention.
Cauda Equina syndrome is an extremely rare condition, but one that should not be ignored. If after watching this you have any concerns, or if you are unsure of your symptoms, send us an email and we can reassure you on your next steps.

Smartphones & Tablets are a permanent feature of our lives now, but as with anything you use so frequently, it can cause trouble!
Our necks are designed to be in a certain position and this develops during our childhood and teen years. Unfortunately children, only a few years old, are already spending considerable amounts of time every day looking down at a hand-held device.
Overall this is being picked up in the change in patients we see in the clinic, younger people, with... more severe misalignment of their neck in particular.
For more on this, check out the full article and short video in the link below & remember to share it with someone who may find it helpful!

We thought we'd take the time to dispel the myth that the "clicking" of the spine is "putting the bones back in place".
This is something we've heard in clinic over the years and it creates a great deal of confusion

Lordosis is the curve in the lower back and the neck. Commonly reductions in the amount of curve present can contribute to problems in the neck or lower back.

Understanding thr curve is important becuase it helps in the treatment and rehabilitation of a normal lordosis and therefore helps you restore the shock absorbing ability of your spine.

A Brief Insight into why we know imaging is an important part of the process.
When it comes to back pain, often, MRI imaging is preferred by osteopaths, GP's and Physiotherapists.
In our experience, and probably the experience of many others in this space, what the MRI reveals is frequently of little help when it comes to the non-invasive treatment of back pain.

It’s all too common to put this down to a stressful day, not drinking enough water or perhaps eyesight issues, but it may just be as simple as correcting your posture.
Sitting hunched over at your desk, or slouched on the couch after a long day can cause more pressure on the neck, compressing the nerves and blood vessels at the top of your neck which can result in that tension headache that can typically ...feel like it’s coming from your forehead, behind the eyes or at the back of the head.

Very professional clinic, great and helpful staff. I would recommend this to anyone, not pushy to force extra treatments

User

One of the most professional and genuine clinic with fantastic results

You can surely rest assure when in Dr Michael JF hands.

I've had neck and shoulders pain for almost 9yrs and never thought it can get better in just 6 positive treatments from Dr Michael, I'm very grateful one year after and I feel like a champion.

I couldn't go to the gym or raise my left arm above my head and now I could do all my workouts and enjoy my sporty life all thanks to the capable professionals hands of Dr Michael.

User

Michael started to look after me when i had rather resigned myself to agony.I had tried a local physio for 4 sessions.I had tried a local osteopath.Nothing seemed to work.Michael had a diagnostic session with me which indicated two slipped disks. No wonder I was popping painkillers every 4 hours.

We did 2 sessions a week for many months. But the pain relief started after session 3.Michael is calm, professional, caring and genuinely concerned for his patients.

For me he has quite simply been a (pain free) life saver.

User

Michael is a very professional doctor, diagnosed and treated my left shoulder magically. Highly recommended!

User

Michael has been my consultant for almost 3 years now. He's always been professional and has always managed to accommodate me at short notice.

Michael originally gave me free advice and also visited my local gym to assist me with new mitigation techniques. I couldn't ask for a better service, would highly recommended.

User

Michael has been looking after my back for a while now. Seen several different specialists to try and rectify my problem no one has helped my problem quite like Mike.

I went to the Mayfair Clinic for treatment on my frozen neck, a few months back. I woke up with it, and could barely move my neck, the pain was so sharp and severe, if you have ever had it you know how terrible it is, just driving over a bump on the road felt excruciating. On my first appointment I was fully assessed and treated with laser directly on my neck and the surrounding areas, it was completely painless, it felt a little warm and very soothing, which was a relief. I felt better the next morning, however as my pain was so intense it took 4 sessions for me to gain almost full mobility. I now go once every 2 months or so, just to make sure it doesn’t come back, and I feel great! I highly recommend this treatment if you are in pain!! Great patient care and just so relieved with the outcome.

User

I had shoulder and lower back pain and after only 6 laser treatments form the Mayfair Clinic my conditions improved massively. Mike is the best osteopath I've worked with and I'm so happy to have chosen such a good professional. Highly recommended

User

I came and visited the clinic after suffering a injury to my spine, which occurred a year prior to my visit. My mobility was extremely limited , and even though I was taking very strong medication for my pain management, I was still in severe pain. I have been attending the clinic being seen my Micheal and attending twice a week for a month now, I have seen a tremendous change in my mobility and pain management. I was extremely disheartened when I first attended the clinic believing I would never walk again without pain. I am actually using my legs again instead of solely relying on my crutch. I look forward to my next eight sessions remaining, and would recommend this treatment option to anyone who is sick of being given medication and living in pain and restricted mobile from a spinal injury.

User

Having studied with Michael for 4 years and treated patients with him for two I can testify to his attention to detail and almost encyclopaedic knowledge of anatomy. His understanding of body mechanics are second to none and crucially he strives to produce real changes to patients which they can both feel and see.

User
