Twenty Nevern Square Hotel won LTG's Luxury Hotel of the Year 2017!
We stayed at the Mayflower on 23rd Feb 18. When we arrived we were greeted by a lovely receptionist, and although we were early, she not only booked us in but upgraded us for free to a luxury room, brilliant. However we couldn't get into the room until 2pm because that is their rules but we could leave our bags there and go off and enjoy our day, knowing that our bags were safe and would be placed in our room waiting for our return. Her generosity didnt stop there though, she furnished us with a map and gave us full directions on where to catch a bus, the number of the bus but if we wished to walk options on how to get to our destination which was Portabello Road.
The continental breakfast was plentiful and if you wanted the full English, you could have one by giving notice and paying extra for it.
Our upgraded room was very clean and roomy and the four poster bed was very glam.
Even when we checked out we were still able to leave our bags and carry on shopping and return later to collect them.
Highly recommend staying in this hotel, will definitely stay here again.
We had a great time there. Close to underground and shops. Nice staff, good sized room - anytime again. Good value for money deal!
The studio apartment was wonderful. Everything I needed and more. It had a mezzanine level with another queen size bed. The only very small criticism is the T towel wasn't clean. I had brought my own anyway. Definitely recommend it and will definitely book it again next time I'm in London.
Lovely!! Great location & very cozy! Consider staying more than a day, lots to see!!
I will definitely stay here again. Gorgeous room and the staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The location is perfect.
I had the room opposite the hotel...amazing value for money....ultra modern room ...very comfortable and spacious. ...definately come again
Had a great time at twenty nevern square, its a vibrant yet also serene establishment in the heart of London. The room was beautifully designed; tastefully decadent, with an exquisite chandelier and bath tub in the middle of the room. The service was perfect. Its tucked away from the main road, onlooking a green park, a calm environment; you escape the hustle and pollution you normally expect from central london, yet one remains within walking distance to kensington, hyde park, and of course earls court and sloane square.
I've visited a fair few top notch hotels in London. A lot of the time they're all front and the rooms can disappoint, here however, that was certainly not the case. Highly recommended
Great location,a stunning area of Chelsea & Kensington, all different restaurants at your doorstep, around 10mins to the city centre by underground and you are still in 1st zone,we were very nicely surprised as we got a higher standard than booked-instead of deluxe double room with 4poster bed we got the suite one, lucky we! I highly recommend!:)))
Beautiful hotel, staff are lovely and friendly and our room was amazing!
Beautiful hotel run by beautiful people. I can't wait to go back!
Lovely hotel, very clean, staff friendly and very close to Earl's Court tube station, breakfast was also nice. Only slight complaint (and it's not really a complaint) was we couldn't see the tv from the bed but it didn't spoil the stay, would definitely reccomend
A quaint hotel with a good price, good size, n clean
Convenient place with homely breakfast, a modest hotel but with small rooms.
We stayed at the Mayflower hotel in December 2017 and paid for an ‘executive suite’. Firstly, the rude woman who greeted us spoke over me when trying to check in, and the service just got worse from there.
Executive suites are apparently in the basement level, right next to the train line, and is quite busy. There was no service or elevators to help with our luggage, despite there being several corridors and stairs to navigate.
Our room was so dirty, the previous occupants had left us lovely messages on the mirror which clearly hadn’t been wiped in a while.
I wish I could post photos of the broken bathroom, where the shower head was falling off the wall or the rug and ‘decorative pillows’ which were so filthy it made me sick.
Breakfast was dismal, expect tinned fruit, tomatoes and cucumber for breakfast, as well as sugar laden cereal.
Croissants were ok, but that wasn’t enough to redeem the experience.
Make sure before considering this hotel, do your research because I wish I had read the reviews properly. Never, ever again!
The worst hotel i'be been in my life! The nightrecepcionist really stupid, the room was dirty and litlle, with a lot if noise (in front of the train station), and finally, the breackfast was terrible!!!!
The hotel looks lovely and when I clicked a room for 3 all still seemed normal till I got there, don't even think about parting with ur money for this place, the room for 3 is an apartment that is dirty and run down and smelly and a wonky sofa bed is the third bed, disgracefully feel very ripped off
The hotel is awful!!!!I booked 2 nights and at night i found cockroaches on my bed, on the floor and in the bathroom!!!!When i requested the explanations to receprion staff, they didn't even apologize!!!!The only thing they said: " the hotel doesn't have any cockroaches and they entered by the window"!!!!Nevertheless i showed the pictures with the cockroaches in the bathroom!! And no any reaction or not evven proposed to change the room or any compensation!!!I paid 180 euros not for sleeping with cockroaches!!!!
Sorry to say but our experience of Twenty Nevern Square couldn't have been more different to your other reviewer. Beware of what constitutes a "Delux Double" room, at a boutique hotel, this really means a room without enough space to swing a cat - we couldn't even walk down one side of the bed.
On the plus side you do get a complementary apple and window cleaning alarm call at 8am ..... so there's no need to rush down for that continental breakfast. Oh a don't expect to find a manager if you have a complaint.
Positives: Good location and pleasant (enough) Staff.
Another room I have booked in photos and another find there.
The room was too tiny and breakfast was from another century .
Overestimated .
