We are currently staying at the hotel with a party number of 5, with 3 rooms. Since arriving one member has had to request a room change due to the smell of damp. When we then asked the receptionist where the pool was the very rude and disgusted looking receptionist called Sofia looked at us as though we didn't belong there at all. Once been given very blunt instructions we went to check out the pool area to see what it was like for a quick dip. Another member of staff then approached two of us and asked us 'if we were even guests at the hotel' which he then seemed quite shocked by our response 'of course'.
Later on we then asked Sofia if she would mind ringing us a taxi to take us to a local pub, when I mentioned the pubs name she looked at us as if we were crazy and it was non existent. Little to her knowledge of the local area it's quite a busy pub located in the centre.
I've never once in my life as a middle classed person felt so looked down on like I didn't belong in a place. The worst bit is it's rather over priced for a very old run down, damp hotel. Much rather pay more for a luxurious modern 5* hotel in London, at least then your made to feel welcome and it's worth every penny.
Further since our experience has been a much more pleasurable encounter, the blond receptionist (Linda) is very welcoming and chatty, wishing us all luck with the marathon and relay, Linda has continued to welcome us throughout our stay. The bar staff downstairs are also very well mannered and polite. Not to mention a shout out to all the breakfast staff! Couldn't get friendlier people even after one girl had worked a night shift in a bar then were in the best of spirits serving breakfast after little sleep.

Goof service friendly staff. The double bed could have been a king-size plenty of room for one and a new mattress wouldn't go a miss. Above all very well situated. Just a 7 min walk into the centre of St Helier. Good breakfast too.

Not overly impress with the rooms. Food good but basic. Staff friendly and helpful.

Nice staff. Somewhat close to the center of the town, you can walk there in about 10 minutes. The room was basic but very clean. Good space to get around in the room. The bed was very comfortable. Nice clean bathroom although it could have done with a new in bath non slip matt. There is a mini gym. A small cupboard room to iron your clothes, and the best thing is the indoor swimming pool which I used everyday of my stay. I was very happy.
