The Old Bull and Bush is a lovely local pub serving great food in a lovely atmosphere that it both family and pet friendly. The staff are great and give service with a smile, even when they are rushed off their feet (most weekends!) and a Justyna deserves a special mention for always giving a warm welcome and a friendly hello. A fantastic pub.

The Lobster and Crab Fishcakes were amazing as was the Butterscotch and Nut Crumble Bar!!!! The best pub food I have eaten in a very long time and all the staff were extremely friendly!!!!

User

Lovely Pub in a lovely setting just stumbled across it after leaving Golders Park. Def be calling in again when we are in the area.

Loved my meal there yesterday. Great atmosphere, staff were exceptionally helpful. I had the breaded Brie with a mango chutney and followed that with the pork belly and scallops with pancetta mash - it was so delicious that I'm thinking when I can go back and have it again. My friend had the lamb koftas followed by the king prawn and chorizo linguini which she thoroughly enjoyed.

It’s our local pub and we love it. There were some disappointments in the past as we felt that their service was going down. Their barmen were slow, uninterested, unwelcoming and making mistakes in the orders. However, to our great and most pleasant surprise it all changed for the much better now. We went for Sunday roast today and everything went absolutely perfect, we got excellent service with attention and smiles, delicious food and fabulous experience overall. Thank you and please keep it up! You have your reputation, traditions and a lot of loyal and loving customers.

Great location plenty of tables both inside and out, good choice of drinks and meals. Staff had excellent customer service.

User

Great environment, friendly staff and good food & drinks

User

Great choice of food and drinks! Excellent style with the fireplace warming up the atmosphere

User

Excellent food and friendly staff. A really pleasant place to spend the afternoon and it is dog friendly too.

User

The pub is lovely and staff are friendly. Our waiter kept us topped up with prosecco throughout the meal. Food is reasonably priced, and there is a wide choice. Our food was well presented and very tasty. The only thing that lets them down is they are very slow with service. So don't expect a quick meal.

User

It's a lovely pub. The wine was OK but not amazing. We had the picpoul which we had to swap for pinot as picpoul tasted like juice. They had run out of two course options so I had to go for a third choice. A bit of a wait between starter and main. Food was good but not exceptional. Best on the menu was the steak sandwich. The scallops were lovely and generous, but missing flavour and the chicken burger was smothered in mayo which wasn't ideal. The waitress was so lovely and catered for us all. The table was lovely with nice decor. I'd try it again but would not rush back.

User

Great food, spoilt for choice and big helpings too. Waiting time was reasonable and food was piping hot and freshly cooked. They were also happy to swap items on the menu, to make sure it was just what I fancied, thank you. Staff were very friendly, chatty, smiling and helpful. Overall a very relaxing family meal yesterday in the lovely sunshine after a long walk on the Heath.

User

Food and drinks were good, customer service was good with staff helpful. Enjoyed the atmosphere and ambience. Beer garden was nice and ideal in this hot weather.

User

Absolutely delicious as usual .Lovely roast pork with all the trimmings and such lovely puddings! Should not really have eaten one as I was already full but I couldn't resist it and the Newzealand Sauvignon Blanc is sooo good there .i do prefer more chunky Apple Sauce but it was still good.

User

Sadly disappointing. We were really hoping (given it’s heritage) for a lovely country style inn. Real fires. Nooks and crannies of rooms. Instead just a soul less space. They’d clearly had a madly hectic day which probably explained the uncleared tables and food and napkins on the floor. Food was fine but not amazing given the west end prices. Called in at The Holly Bush on the way back to the tube and that was much more like I was expecting of The Old Bull and Bush - cozy rooms and fires - and a lovely atmosphere.

User

My all time favourite, so I will always go there...but has lost its old world charm of live fireplaces, typical Sunday steaks...

User

Had beer battered fish and twice cooked chips. Who's idea was it to put the fish on top of the chips leaving them soggy?

User

All is well until you delve a bit deeper, the staff are great and attentive, the food a bit overpriced but tastey. However the clientele are rude, think they own the place and try and belittle you. The car park is a prime example, the restricted areas left so you can get in and out of the car park are ignored and you have to navigate around with great care as to not hit a very badly parked car. The disabled parking spaces are taken up by non disabled badge holders without any regard for someone that may actually need the slightly wider spot. Overall a nice place that lacks overall supervision and management. Shame really!

Advertised in the menu is a statement that if you ‘sign up as a friend or to their mail list you are entitled to a free drink’ . I signed up and received an email last week with a voucher for a drink - only it expired on 1st July. I queried this to bar staff and was told the offer had indeed expired and there was not ‘anything we can do’. I emailed directly and have not received a reply ... just wondering why this would be advertised if offer no longer applies. Has anyone else experienced this. I’m just curious!
