Shared from Twitter... James said our burger was one of the best he's had in a long time - we would agree!

Want to learn more about our new wines, which are also vegan?! First up is the Valdivieso Chilean Sauvignon Blanc. This wine is crisp and aromatic, with lots of citrus and gooseberry aromas. Pair a glass/bottle of this with one of our Seafood Specials!

New to The Olive Tree.. introducing our selection of VEGAN wine. Just in time for the weekend!

Fancy a midweek treat? Our slow cooked shoulder of lamb should do it!

The final day of Cask Ale Week calls for a pint of Doom Bar! Named after the dangerous Doom Bar sandbank in North Cornwall, this is now the UK’s no.1 selling cask beer.

User

From Brixham Market, who can name all the fish we're preparing for our fish pie this morning? Comment below!

User

Two days left of Cask Ale Week and we suggest you try a pint of Timothy Taylor’s Landlord. The 4.3% classic pale ale with a complex citrus and hoppy aroma.

User

Do pop in for a coffee and cake if you can!

Three days left of National Cask Ale Week and we’ve got three tasty ales for you to try. Local to us, why not kick off today with a pint of Hogs Back T.E.A from Surrey’s award winning Hogs Back Brewery. Amber in colour, this bitter is refreshing, hoppy and well balanced.

User

First out of the kitchen today a plate of piping hot roast beef, with bubble and squeak and fried eggs for good measure! What better way to keep warm on this first chilly day of Autumn. Come down and join us, you won’t be cold for long.

User

Treat yourself, it's the weekend!

This pub is fantastic, food is always great , only problem I have is they have stopped selling Heineken, why I don’t know as I feel it reaches parts other lagers can not reach , I feel the bar chap should wear a tie and maybe shave , I will be back very soon 😊

User

Staff amazing and polite as allways, new chef has turned it around, the menu is so much better and the food speaks for it self, to the people who didn't like it before, then I advise to try again, you will pleasantly surprised . 5 stars from Elm Nursery and the Marshalls

User

Just recovering from my 50th birthday party at The Olive Tree last night. Amazing buffet, and Vince, Gareth and the team were lovely as usual. Thank you for my beautiful Orchid too! Great party venue.

User

I had the seafood platter. Definitely worth ordering it beforehand, it's a real treat. #shellfishheaven

User

I go there often. Food is quality, staff are lovely and atmosphere is great. I love the place.

User

I am notoriously picky when it comes to food, but just got home from The Olive Tree where chef Ade produced the best Sunday roasts ever (I had lamb, Mike had beef). Succulent meat, delicious vegetables & Yorkshire puddings were wonderful. Appreciation too to Gareth & front of house team.

User

Excellent Sunday lunchtime visit for my birthday yesterday! Great service & cosy ambiance, enhanced by the fabulous open fire. Three generously portioned roast lunches cooked to perfection. Lovely to see vegetables that haven't been crucified! Desserts to die for especially chef's homemade salted caramel ice cream! Highly recommended.

User

Came in last night for a Christmas meal and the food was outstanding and very generous portions as well.

Thanks you so much, we will be back.

Happy Christmas

User

Love this place, always welcomed with a smile by the staff and food is fab. Cheers Thank you

User

Friendly staff nice environment good selection of food on the menu and my meal was lovely well presented and tasted lovely and the crumble topped it off.

User

Excellent food and ambience- plus I leant how to taunt babies with ice cream from one of the lovely ladies behind the bar!

User

I went with my daughter, we both ordered a fish special ( she had hake and i had swordfish) but they were served in bowls on a mountain of salad with chips on the side. Very difficult to eat and not what we were expecting, fish was well cooked.

User

Nice enough place, friendly staff but food way below average for a Sunday lunch. Watery gravy, Mediterranean veg (with Turkey?!? ) and only cabbage and cauliflower cheese as accompanying veg - no sprouts or traditional veg?!?! Apparently it’s what they always serve with their Sunday lunches but just not my cup of tea I’m afraid.

User

Been a few times, always had good food. Went with friends on Saturday 26 August but was very disappointed. Service was very slow, food not cooked how ordered steak was not the cut I ordered, chef said it was.!! Staff on the whole friendly and helpful.
