Its always a fantastic day out and we look forward to having you join us here again! No need for tickets! just arrive to enjoy all the entertainment!

The ducks are £2 each and can be bought from July 1st from the pub and take them away to decorate or you can buy them on the day and decorate them on site. Ducks will need to be returned for the race by 1pm, unless you are decorating on the day. We will also have fun things for the kids to enjoy. Plus may other exciting things to do on the day.

User

absolute amazing service and food here!!

busy Friday night, last min table for 2 and they forgot to bring out our coleslaw with the mains - gave us some money off the bill for the inconvenience even though we laughed it off and didn't mind the error at all!! will 100% recommend this place and will 100% be back!!

We paid a second series of visits to the paper mill this week whilst staying at the local holiday inn on business. Love the place, its modern and vibrant, the food has always been great and the staff are really helpful and friendly, in addition to being in a great location. Would definately recommend going there if you are in the area.

User

Visited twice whilst staying across the road at the Holiday Inn Express. Both nights the food and service were excellent. Best burger I think I’ve ever had (apart from Memphis)! 2nd night we had puddings, delightful.

User

The food was amazing friendly staff I will differently go back there and I would take other friends and family

User

One of the nicest places on the area to have a drink and relax, hospitality fantastic

User

Lovely pub on the canal. Lunchtime food lovely and staff very pleasant and helpful. We will definitely go back especially on a sunny day.

User

Have just been here for a meal whilst staying at the holiday inn across the road. Staff was so pleasant and helpful, food was amazing and thank you to the staff who opened the restaurant earlier so we could eat, really helped after travelling for 4 hours.

User

Excellent food, good selection of ales (Fuller’s ESB 👍) and great service. Great location as well next to the canal.

User

Brilliant Pub will be back again great atmosphere friendly people and the food was 1st class

User

Shame about the prices however. It’s not a London Pub. Nice riverside beer garden however. Food seems good.

User

Love coming to the papermil

Pop in for lunch. Very warm and great atmosphere.cosy with an open fire

Ordered club sandwich that was delicious

Chips were a letdown soggy and greasy looked as though they popped over to mc Donald's for our portion ...the last time I had chips here they were chunky and crispy ..proper pub chips (sorry chef).

Staff are friendly and service is excellent

User

lasagne with no white source (so very dry) and cottage pie that is 90% potato 10% meat. Service is good as falways.

User

Nice pub, but bar staff could do with some training on how to pour a full measure. Your stock results must be great.

User

Location so lovely wine was lovely and barman was poshest I’ve ever been served by, only negative was the share platter nachos it was dry and tasteless

User

Very disappointed with food choices and portions. Food was over priced as the portions were small.

My husband Nick Blanchard and I have been coming once a year for 4 years as a stop gap to London. 2 years ago we witnessed kitchen staff licking their fingers. So just didn't eat here. This year I got a SLUG in my drink. We were told by the barman that they were aware of slug issues and that someone had been called to sort the problem out. I was disgusted that they were aware of the slugs which could have been climbing over glasses kept under the bar and that one was in my glass. The barman was very apologetic and told us the Manager has offered us both a free drink. Personally I felt the Manager should of come and spoke to us directly. Disgraceful and we won't be returning again which is a shame as if run to higher hygiene this place would be lovely

User

A great venue for what was a lovely summers day,the beer(Fullers ESB)was really nice & although we didn't eat the food looked & smelled good.

Only one minus point, they seriously need more bar staff - the wait to get served caused us to go to a pub up the road.

User

Where do we start? Firstly, the place was empty however stood looking a fool until we got served. Service from the First Lady was great; opened a tab and everything as we were there a while. Then it was time to order food. What a joke! The group I was with ordered separately. One of the girls ordered three meals; 3 starters & 3 mains- firstly she they tried to charge her for 6 starters but eventually only charged her for 4 (maths isn’t a strong point of mine but I’m pretty sure she should have been charged for 3) we eventually got a refund for the over charge (1 positive). When the starters arrived they were wrong. We then asked for all starters to come out together and all mains to come out together. This did not happen meaning me and my partner were sat while the rest of the group had their food (I would have said enjoyed but each course was stone cold). Our food finally arrived (again cold) so ate what I could and pushed the rest around the plate. A exit strategy was then put in place so left £60+ lighter and with an angry crowd a drink was needed to avoid a birthday weekend being ruined.

User

The deserts were hotter than the roasts, long wait after ordering and semi warm veg - won’t bother again
