I've visited this amazingly located pub with my friends last week and we were looked after very well, our drinks were topped up, food seemed like a good value for money in the area, nachos sharer were basic but met our expectations. The staff very helpful and going the extra mile made our visit very pleasant just before visiting a nearby Primrose Hill with a great view over London! Would highly recommend this venue for a good pub food, amazing service and a good selection of drinks, with a local Camden beers as a plus. Also I would like Thank sir Patrick for providing quality service to us.

I visit the pub with friends in Friday night. The pub looks really cosy with nice atmosphere. When I approach the bar I've been served quickly. The bar stuff was friendly and smiling. The food was satisfying. I definitely will go back to this pub and will recommend to friends and family. Thank you for the great service and great night

I recently celebrated my 40th birthday at the Pembroke Castle, where I had reserved their upstairs function room several months ago.



Both the Manager Mario and the Deputy Manager Tony, looked after us extremely well. From helping plan the night in advance, to the set up on the day. The room looked wonderful – the team had arranged the tables so that we could have pre-ordered drinks and food laid out as well as decorated with table cloths, candles and flowers. They even left space for the birthday cake a friend had made (and then cut and served it).



Ahead of the date, Mario had remained in touch to confirm everything with me, he was very flexible about how we could pre-order food and drinks and didn’t restrict me to a minimum spend (which seems to be the standard for bars in the area).



Whilst I didn’t get to eat any of the food that was put out (we opted for Buffet B), the people who did, had only good things to say.



It’s worth noting that a lot of reviews on this site pre-date the current management who I think have only been at the Pembroke since late August. Mario seems to have a completely different approach to the managers before him which was apparent from the first time we spoke.



I would highly recommend visiting The Pembroke Castle if you haven’t already and maybe giving it another chance if earlier experiences were not up to scratch.

The bar staff are all so lovely, friendly creating such a great atmosphere in the pub at any time and really fast at serving drinks and they made delicious cocktails too.

Lovely pub was there on a Saturday night , but such a shame it was spoilt by two tv screens one showing football and one rugby, couldn't hear outselfs talking so not really a relaxing environment so moved on to another pub, but it did have a good selection of food and drinks .

Pretty average food, took 45 mins for last two plates to be cleared, young staff just clowning around trying to cool down in the heat of the day. Pub not overly busy so no excuses for slack service or average food.

Unacceptable! Was there with my 17.5 years old daughter today. At 6.15 pm we were thrown out and no drinks served. This because my daughter was not 18 yet they said. My whole family was there two nighys ago until 8 pm. We had dinner there last week as a family without problems. We are locals, we have never had this before. Families beeare! Maybe the lady in the green shirt should change job. She is not made for dealing with customers.

Great evening. Attentive and friendly staff who work incredibly hard to look after you. Great beer, lovely food (we had a selection of tapas) lovely evening, great atmosphere without being too loud you can't talk normally. We will be back.

Excellent service with private hire. I recently hired the room upstairs at the Pembroke for my daughter’s first birthday party and the service was second to none from the early stages of planning through to the day itself. Great communication with Mario, flexibility of set up on the day and excellent service throughout. Can’t recommend enough if you want a great space for a private event.

Amazing venue! Amazing staff! If I could give more stars I would. Mario made our Christmas party really special and I cannot thank him enough. So professional and flexible with our demands. The bar staff are all so lovely, friendly creating such a great atmosphere in the pub at any time and really fast at serving drinks and they made delicious cocktails too.

Despite being his own behind the bar Antonio was excellent and provided everyone efficient and pleasant service

Arrived at 1200 Sunday ordered roast lunch which was served promptly very delicious, staff were friendly and courteous.

Lovely pub was there on a Saturday night , but such a shame it was spoilt by two tv screens one showing football and one rugby, couldn't hear outselfs talking so not really a relaxing environment so moved on to another pub, but it did have a good selection of food and drinks .

Pretty average food, took 45 mins for last two plates to be cleared, young staff just clowning around trying to cool down in the heat of the day. Pub not overly busy so no excuses for slack service or average food.

Unacceptable! Was there with my 17.5 years old daughter today. At 6.15 pm we were thrown out and no drinks served. This because my daughter was not 18 yet they said. My whole family was there two nighys ago until 8 pm. We had dinner there last week as a family without problems. We are locals, we have never had this before. Families beeare! Maybe the lady in the green shirt should change job. She is not made for dealing with customers.
