We recommend you "get down, girl (and boys) go ahead get down" to have a taste
Went for a friends birthday. Booked a table for 10 next to the stage. Our table service was fantastic. Lovely food, Great music. Prosecco and a piano cake brought out for our friends birthday. Would definitely go again. A great night.
We booked a table for 10 on Thursday for a friends birthday, food was good, staff were really friendly and at the end of the evening, the staff brought a free bottle of prosecco and a cake with a sparkly candle on the top, it was a really nice gesture and we were all impressed, we all left feeling happy.
My first experience of The Piano Works. What a brilliant venue and loved the mix of people of all ages and different dress styles - anything goes! Such a great idea of the piano play offs that were a bit like a battle of the bands experience. Abi wins every time IMHO! When the rest of the band comes on it really kicks in. Reminded me of my trip to New York, New York in Las Vegas many moons ago. Great cocktails, excellent live music (all based on audience requests), fab atmosphere, top staff, really classy venue. Didn't try the food, but will definitely be back.
I was there last night for a birthday party with my friends , we booked the table for us. I just wanted to mention that The service we received was absolutely great!!!!!!! We loved the atmosphere , the music, the food was also really good . Also I just want to mention that specially the bartender at the bar where we had the party, the dark skin guy was really nice with us and served our drinks quickly. Really enjoyed the night over all !! We will definitely come back soon !
Great staff including the security staff, bar was too busy in the happy hour but other than that itās a great place to eat, drink and dance to fantastic live music.
A very safe environment. Nothing but high praise ļæ½
Great night for my sisterās hen do. Could not fault the service, so attentive all through the meal and extra bubbly to celebrate! Bar staff all great too and I always got served quickly. Loved the live music but have been on a Friday before and found the music/singing even better then! Thank you for a great night ļæ½
Absolutely love the Piano Works. They have great musicians, have always played most of our requested songs and whenever we've been mid week it's been a great night. Sounds like it just gets a bit busy on weekends judging by the reviews here, so try going mid week!
1. The food was amazing
2. Check the cocktail of the day. Ours was a base of mango, vodka and coconut - huge treat
3. Food was amazing. I had just my ribs
4. Dessert was generous and tasty
5. You can request a song - very cool
6. The bag drop was a nice touch
7. The ATM inside a treat
8. Noise levels were quite high but considering I am not used to live music - I loved it
Really good night, great band, we all had fun, a little too packed as it is sooooo annoying when people and bar staff are going past every few minutes, I left my drink at the bar which was almost full to go to toilet when I came back it was gone which is not good as drinks are expensive
Had to wait one hour in the queue just to get in. Having guests list makes no difference as you just queue with people without guest list. Staff just bump you out the way when inside the club instead of saying excuse me. No working air conditioning. Only good points is the band and the atmosphere created by the band.
To be fair bar staff great but the GM was crap, the bar man accident made a Mai Tai which we hadnāt actually ordered as we said give us something with rum from happy hour menu!
They then wanted us to pay full price instead of providing good customer service and charging us the Happy hour cost, we said no as not our fault (we had drank from glass) they then took drinks of us and made us a drink of the happy hour menu!
So you coat yourself more money and pissed 6 customers off! I applaud you GM for not having a clue.
Midweek it was great, hence bringing my mates on the weekend.
Friday night, cant imagine a more terrible night. Firstly Ā£10 entry which is offensive. Secondarily the band, who are fantastic, sell their souls to the worst of cheesy pop.
Can't believe what a rip off it was, even the bouncers agreed. Weekends are 'shit'.
Never again
Iām only giving this one 1 star because I have to give it something.
We arrived at 20.30 to a queue, which although long, did not appear too daunting. How I was wrong. 1 HOUR AND 15 MINS later we were granted access.
The bar also has guest list entry and we saw people tagging on to the ends of other groups to get in quicker, meaning the people who are actually queueing had to wait longer!!
The last entry to the guest list is 9.30 - now most places let a little of both in. Not this place - purely focused on guest list until it was shut.
We specifically made the trip to London and had to get on a train at 11pm.
So we made it into the venue at 9.45 and paid Ā£10 for the pleasure of standing in a queue because at 9pm the venue starting charging for entry... (we had been there since 8.30!!!!!!).
It was poorly poorly managed, the door staff did not know what they were doing and I saw them let him at least one guest who said they were there for the same party as us, however we got denied!
When we arrived in it was packed, you could barely move, let alone dance and people were extremely rude!
I got two drinks at the bar (massively overpriced, even for London) and was served by someone who did not know what he was doing (I think he was new, and Iām not slating that) but was offered very minimal support from him colleagues!! So again wasted another 20mins at the bar! (After being served relatively quickly!).
The band was good.
I will not be coming back to this establishment and I donāt think they even care about their customers experience.
Itās such a shame really bad service, the waitress kept messing around with our bill and took so long with our drinks and in the end charged more then should of.
Contacted the office spoken to about 4 different people each time and constantly having to re send the bank details etc and emails of what I have sent to all the other people. I went in April and itās now July and still havenāt got my money back.
If you do go buy your drinks at the bar
You will get them so much quicker as we had to wait ages and hopefully wonāt get charged the wrong bill.
We were so patient with her as she pointed out she was new.
The next day we had seen what she had done and contacted office straight away.
Whatās more frustrating itās Ā£20 add on for that kind of service ļæ½
Wonāt be going there again anytime soon!!!
I visited The Piano works last night and have never had such a bad experience in a bar or restaurant and I would never return.
The staff were rude, food was cold and we was not even given a chance to order dessert even though we was made to wait an hour for the food.
We was told to leave the table after our allotted 2 hours and when we said we was finishing our wine we was not shown anywhere else we could go and we had bouncers physically removing us from the restaurant using excessive force.
Avoid this restaurant at all costs
Great atmosphere, terrible staff.
I had a table of 16 booked for bottomless brunch on a Saturday for my birthday. From booking on the phone through to the end of the night, the staff had a bad attitude and the customer service was poor. Our server was probably the only helpful and polite employee we came across; she acknowledge the fact our table started 20 minutes late and continued to bring prosecco until the time was up. The staff in the toilets were mimicking some girls (not in our group) being sick, the staff on the floor were pushy and the bouncers behaved appallingly. We had another 10 or so guests join us early evening and our group was no trouble at all, while you could see others had overdone the prosecco and were dropping glasses left, right and centre. Admittingly, my sister was a bit worse for wear and needed to sit with a water for 10 mins but the staff wouldnāt let her stay with the group and practically dragged her through the building upstairs. I was not happy with the way she was handled but could not argue she was drunk. They didnāt let her back in the building which seemed an overreaction given the state of some others but she left with her friend and we carried on the night. A short time later I hear my boyfriend is now outside and unable to get back in. I went to speak to him and the doormen to find it was because he was in the way of someone lifting a table through the room and was a danger to them. Was one man lifting a table in a packed room not a danger in itself?! I said to the doormen I think thereās been a misunderstanding, donāt you think youāre being over sensitive? That comment then had me chucked out! Obviously, annoyed, I said is this a ******* joke, to which the bouncer replied with āoh isnāt that lovely donāt you have a lovely mouth on you, what lovely manners you haveā. The doormen are patronising, power hungry and rude. It seemed they were looking for ways to get people out and let others in to get the queue outside down. It cut short what could have been a great night, Iāll think twice before taking 30 people there again, it was just embarrassing.
Awful service received the whole night, extremely rude bar staff and they had somehow run out of lots of ingredients to make simple cocktails. Only good thing about this bar is the live band, but the service was so poor it was hard to enjoy the night. Also I understand you put your āsong requestsā on the table, however not one of ours was played and towards the end of the night the band started playing really dull songs...it was a Saturday night! In conclusion - I would avoid this bar.
An absolutely atrocious night. It took over an hour and a half from the time we ordered drinks til they arrived at our table. Beers arrived with caps on and no bottle opener. Alerted staff to a spillage which no one ever came to clear up. Clearly understaffed. And to top it all off we were charged for bottles of wine we didnāt order. Appalling.
Allowed us to spend Ā£2000 + and then decided to tell us we were barred... all because we chose to sit on the floor to watch the footie match... (it wasnāt a great one) staff were rude when approached about this. Usually a great night out, such a joke tonight. Come here for fun but NEVER pay for an organised event here. You wIll be mugged off as is muggy mike was here himself!!!!!
