Really good food; unassuming pub atmosphere on floor zero; fancier digs on the first floor (the 2nd floor in the great US of A)

Love this place. I go here and Carpenter Arms down the street. But Portman is my 1st choice, less crowded, better food.

Convenient and cute little boutique hotel. Well located near to good restaurants and shopping areas in London. Rooms are a good size and have a/c and heating. Beds very soft, and breakfast is average. Definitely a good choice for a few days in central London.

Room 305 .. My room was cold. I had asked for some semi skimmed milk as only whole milk was supplied in the room,my towels where damp. Whilst walking into the bathroom I sliced my toe on a carpet screw that was protruding from the door plate., this was reported and nothing was done. However they did turn my heating up.
