Alhamdulillah all praise be to Allah! The Purge has a School Boy National Champion!!
What a win for Zain who beat the previous national champion Shane Price, with a record of 20-0. The game plan was given and boy did he execute it. This kid has worked so hard and put in the work.

Alhamdulillah !! What a performance from Zain, stuck to the game plan controlled the fight and absolutely bossed it. He is now through to the National School Boy Finals. We have a very tough kid with a record of 20 wins 0 losses but to be the best you have to beat the best!

Zain is in the school boy National Semi Finals in Crawley today at the K2 centre was a long 5 hour drive. He fights a top kid from West Ham bout no 12 Ring A. He has had a fantastic tournament beating some of the favourite kids. He is now ranked in the top 4 at 34-35.5kg in the country. Hopefully we continue this amazing form and get the win to progress into the National Finals to become no1 and box for England. Whatever the result I’m so proud of this young man. Come on Team Yorkshire!! #purgeboyz #family

What a win by Zain! beating a top boy and one the favourites Corey Spencer in the ABA scool boys national quarter finals by a Unanimous Decision.
Zain stuck to the game plan we had been working on all week and executed it beautifully. I am soo proud and happy for him, a big Well Done son.
Also a big shout out to all the Purge Family and coaches also Kevin Rourke and his his boys and Tilly Crew for the support. A fantastic result for The Yorkshire lads. We go marching into the... National Semi Finals.

Ramadan Mubarak to all fasting in this blessed month. The gym will be opening from 6-7:15pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday through Ramadan. There will be no junior classes it will be a mixed session.
This is mainly for the carded boxers as they have bouts and competitions coming up. Non carded boxers can have the month off. Those who want to train are more then welcome also.
... Please all parents make sure you pick your kids up on time as some parents come 30-45 mins late and it’s becoming a regular habit.

Cracking sparring at Hull Boxing Centre....

Brilliant work from Ali on his first skills bout. He boxed really well and stuck to instructions. Aneeq after just one skills boxed amazing to get a win by stoppage on his first bout totally dominating his opponent, well done to the team....... #purgeboyz #Family

Appreciation and Gratitude is all a coach asks for. No amount of money can compensate genuine appreciation.
This kid has had 5 back to back wins in 4 weeks against top opponents having 9 months out of boxing. These wins include a national quarter finalist, a National Finalist and the current Scottish National Youth champion. He move up a weight category and schooled his opponents and I don’t say this lightly, He was fucking awesome!!
He fractured his thumb in the semi final...s first round. I asked him can you fight on? he said “my thumbs in serious pain I’ve broke it”. To which I said “today you either show me your heart and character or we give up on everything we have worked for to win this tournament”. His response “uncle mo we are the purge boyz we die but we don’t quit! Im gonna destroy him”. He went out and boxed outstanding and got the win via unanimous decision.
In the Finals he was in severe pain. He couldn’t even throw the right hand when warming up. But when he got in the ring motivated, hungry, he did what he does best and outboxed his opponent with one hand.
All 3 fights won by unanimous decision
Me and Julian Mcgowan have always said this! when he puts his mind and heart to it and commits to his craft 100%, he is the most naturally gifted and talented boxer we have worked with.
What a great weekend my boxers, my team done me and the club proud........
