Help to build your new Village Hall
The new Village Hall can now be built but it is going to take quite some work to get it done!... There is a meeting this coming Thursday at the Rhymes Pavilion from 7pm...we, the trustees, would really like you to attend.
After many years of collective struggle, we now have secure planning permission but there remains a substantial funding gap to fill if we are to achieve our goal. We need the input of the whole of the Batheaston community to achieve this...and we don't mean just your money (although every little helps!)! To put it bluntly, if you want a new hall built we will need your help!
This meeting is a first step and will be an informal discussion to share where we are and ideas on how we can progress.
The meeting will be in two parts. Starting at 7pm will be our annual AGM where we will conduct all the formalities required of us as a registered charity, including a Chairman's report, receiving the annual accounts, appointment of Trustees and an opportunity for public participation. Then from 7.30pm we will move into the informal part to discuss fundraising.

PART-TIME HANDY-PERSON VACANCY
Batheaston Parish Council is inviting applications for a keen Handy-person to join an independently-minded small Team dedicated to maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of our Village of Batheaston.
... The Handy-person will be expected to work approximately 12.5 hours per week, or 2.5 hours per day Monday to Friday. There is also scope here for over-time. The Handy-person will be expected to concentrate on the Pavements and Footpaths of our Village - but completing other cleansing/repairs duties as required by the Co-ordinator - who is one of our Parish Councillors, or the Clerk to the Parish Council.
We would expect our Handy-person to be used to working in the outside environment and also to work under minimum supervision.
