nice pub, good staff, tasty pint

User

The rocket is one of the most amazing places in Euston. Staff are a credit to the company, a lovely atmosphere. Food is out of this world, I would recommend anyone going to visit this place xx

User

Stumbled across this pub while looking for somewhere to eat friendly staff good food great place

User

Spacious pub with great atmosphere from staff and punters. Beer is good ( Stella is £4.30 a pint ) and the meals I've had have been home cooked and high standard. Screens to watch sports but when I've been it's just been people of all ages being chatty n happy. Will make it a local when visiting this way again.

User

Lovely atmosphere in this pub.i went here with my son whilst early for our train.the guinness was very nice.

User

Great place to start your day, night or weekend away in London. Had to wait a few hours as my friends train was delayed so spent the afternoon there a while back so I always head back here when I'm in London for a gig. See you in July

User

Amazing food and lovely staff, we will definitely return to the Rocket when we are back in London xx thanks guys xx

User

a good pub close to euston station and a good selection of beers

User

We went there to waste time before our train, the joys of advance tickets, anyway we were pleasantly surprised. A good boozer with reasonable drinks and food, and a menu with choices. There were also several plugs to charge our mobile phones that we were grateful of. Will head there again next time, thanks

User

Service was a bit slow but only 2 behind the bar and not their fault. However, ordered the double stack burger. Bloody brilliant it was. I've been in "posh" burger joints in the past. This was miles better especially considering the price. Great choice of beers too.

User

Great pub for a London pub. As a Northerner I look down a bit on southern pubs and their beer but this one has hand pulled beers from nationwide and one of them yesterday just happened to be one of my favourites. London prices of course, I buy this brew over a pound cheaper in Yorkshire and even in Hemel Hempstead on the same day it was £1.21 cheaper and the toilets are hidden away down a narrow staircase. If I have the misfortune to have to go south again though I may well revisit.

User

Called in for a quick pint on the way to St.Pancras for a train to Luton Parkway yesterday(25/07/17). Very friendly barman. Not a great variety of handpumps. 2 had London Pride, 1 had DoomBar and the other Harviestoun IPA, which I went for. Pleasant enough pint, hoppy and refreshing. Have been past here many times, this was my first visit. I'll be in again, hopefully better beer choice next time.

User

Toilets were disgusting and the smell of piss was unbearable, had a few lagers and a breakfast which seemed OK, won't be going there again

Our small group of old school chums from well over 40 years ago had agreed to meet up at the Rocket pub in memory of one of our kind who had passed away a couple of years ago. We also took the chance to sup the odd pint or two and watch the opening game of the English defence of the 6 Nations Rugby competition against Italy.

On arrival we saw a very attractive large screen with strategically placed comfortable chairs. Great, we thought. We'll nab some of those. But, no. These were apparently reserved for those drinking lager for heavens sake...

So, disillusioned, we found a space in a corner by the bar and under one of the many much smaller TV screens and started on London Pride bitter. A couple of us also ordered hamburgers and chips but I decided to have a liquid lunch. Actually this is a rather nondescript pub in my opinion. The bar staff were friendly enough. But when the rugby started, apart from increasing the volume so that we could hear the commentator a bit better, we found ourselves competing with those who preferred to watch Premier soccer. And more TV screens were tuned in for that! Heaven forbid.

In summary, this place certainly met our basic needs. But I won’t be rushing back in a hurry.

User

In a nut shell, good food crap beer. I had the old faithful burger that tasted great and a pint of Stella that tasted like it had been filtered through a tramps sock. Staff friendly and quick service good atmosphere but probably the worst pint in London.

User

Good pub, great atmosphere good beer, would have given it a 4star rating if it weren’t for the big dollop of poo poo that some silly punter had left on the toilet floor.... which was still there 2 hours later!!!! Lol

User

Could do with a cleaner in the toilets and the beer could be cheaper for the quality we had

User

Staff took ages to serve me..... she stood talking with male staff instead of serving me......

Food was ok..... but I went to bar for pint and staff took my unfinished food away while I was at bar.

User

Fairly poor service, though the food was very cheap and alright considering. Not as nice as Wetherspoons, and definitely dingier inside but blessedly quiet (when a game isn't on) and about the cheapest place to eat or drink in Kings Cross/area. Armchairs are nice if you can get them.
