The RLC Corps Engagement Team and members of 11 EOD Regt RLC are attending the Year of the Engineer capstone event in Brompton Barracks, Chatham. The event is hosting 600 school children over 2 days showing the use of STEM in the Army. 151 Regt will be taking part tomorrow in the Lord Mayor's Show. 18 members of the RLC are marching or driving with the three “RLC25” floats on parade. There are also 35 members of 151 Regt, the unsung heroes, behind the scenes, performing utterly essential marshalling duties off-camera for the 148 floats which come together to make this parade. Without them the parade would not be possible. The unit is position number 77 within the parade. The sequence of the RLC vehicle contribution is Tank Transporter, Rolls Royce, Bedford Fuel Tanker. Congratulations to Lt Col Debs Taylor RLC who won the STEM in Defence Award on Tuesday. She was nominated for masterminding the first STEM Careers Showcase for secondary school aged girls hosted at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. The showcase was attended by 900 secondary school girls from 80 schools from across the country. The event presented them with the opportunity to meet with inspirational female STEM speakers, 70 military female role models and 50 interactive and inspiring stands from across industry and the technical Corps. #WeAreTheRLC
