Kevin, who is living with advanced prostate cancer, completed 6 multi day ultra-marathons this year! He says: "I discovered I had prostate cancer in November 2014 and was given a prognosis of as little as 2 years. 4 years later, I’m fit enough to complete ultra-marathons. Research gives patients hope, and that’s priceless when you have advanced cancer.” Our Banham Security #MarsdenMarch event helps people like Kevin to live life to the full 👉 http://bit.ly/2EwEZcf

To these people its a vocation not just a job. Ive been a patient here fof 12 years, having had an extra hnexpected 10 yesrs of life. I can never thank them enough.

User

The staff work very hard to take care of every one

And to help everyone get better I could not wish for a better place to be treated for my cancer thank you to all the staff especially professor Gore and all of his team and all the staff of MDU who work so hard and know every one by first name god bless you all and a massive THANK YOU

User

The staff in the Radiotherapy Department are friendly and helpful. Always willing to help and go the extra mile for the patient. They get the from me for a job well done.

User

The best cancer hospital in the world with the nicest staff from

The cleaners to the consultants , nurses , surgeons , etc . Mr Kumar and his wonderful team saved my life and I will be eternally grateful to them and their care

User

Nothing is too much trouble for any member of the staff, from the 'trolley dollies' to the top consultants. You are treated with respect and kindness and you will always have an answer for any question you may have, even of you feel your questions may be trivial, they are always answered in the same respectful manner. I cannot fault the hospital or the staff and I am so pleased to have been referred to the Royal Marsden.

User

My youngest daughter is being treated at the Marsden on a NHS referral . I am finding her treatment and care by all the staff we have met fantastic and cannot fault them at all. Sad to think peoples ideas differ.

User

My first of many upcoming appointments at The Marsden yesterday and the staff there were absolutely amazing, explaining everything so well, clearly and sympathetically. They also saved my Fathers life not too long ago. Thank you to all who work and volunteer there...you are all heroes

User

Just to say a massive thank you to everyone at this wonderful hospital for taking such good care of my sister at such a horrible time in her life. Nothing has been too much trouble, from the consulants, nursing staff down to the receptionist & helpers. From diagnoses, through radiotherapy, & finally surgery. Made her feel she was their number one priority, despite the amount of patients they must've have been dealing with. Took her yesterday to start the road to recovery.

User

I’ve been attending The Royal Marsden for 10 years and I can honestly say that every time I have been there everyone is so welcoming. They’ve all been so kind and caring and treat you as a human being. Thank you to everyone involved in my care especially Mr Hayes team. Thank you for giving me a future!

User

I'm up here every six months for my ct scans and oncology clinic the following week. The staff are always friendly. They make sure your at ease. You are talked through your procedure. Ask anything you want if your not sure. Parking was not a problem yesterday. But it will be next week. Having other disabilities makes it a little harder for me to get about so we tend to get to London early. We travel from Luton Bedfordshire. As I know plenty of people travel from all over the country to get to the royal Marsden hospital. The cafe serves a really good cuppa tea or coffee and home made cakes to quench your thirst or have a bite to eat of a good selection of sandwiches. Even from porridge to a bacon roll early in the morning.

I was in here for a Brachytherapy Op last week, and the staff were absolutely brilliant. From the chief needle-meister / surgeon John Thompson, Helen the Anaesthetist and her sidekick, to the Radiologist and the whole theatre team (mostly unseen & unknown to me !), to the efficient and inked Gooner, Sandi from Putney in the Recovery ward, and lovely, caring and comforting Gini from Brixton in ward BC, along with Sonia from Tilbury on her first ever night shift, and Sumita to dust me down & pack me off, plus all the regular trolley dollies !. The whole experience was at the top end of expectations (well, apart from the Catheter thing), so apart from ongoing check-ups, I hopefully won't have to undergo the same joys again !.

User

I was a patient here for undifferentiated pleomorphic Sarcoma. The staff were first class in every way. Big shout out to Dirk Strauss, Dr Miah, Steve Edmonds and the Facilities Team. You were all so wonderful and helpful. I will be forever grateful for your wonderful care

User

I have been a patient now at the Marsden for 18 years this October. It’s thanks to them I am still here, and able to see my boys grow up. Yh it’s cost me part of my jaw but that’s a small price to pay to be able to wake up each day with my wife and kids. You guys do an amazing job

User

Early days for me so far, but absolutely blown away by the level of service. The professionalism. The expediency. So grateful to be able to access all your services for my condition! Outstanding by you all so far!!
