Top pub top food and top staff and a great place to watch the rugby

The staff were friendly and speedy. We had the steak which was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. I also had a glass of the most wonderful Merlot. There was a great atmosphere and despite being busy,the staff managed it seamlessly. I will definitely be going again.

Several pints of Youngs Ordinary...Scallops with salty bacon on pea puree and an absolutely marvelous variation on Croque Monsieur and Eggs Benedict 'Monsieur Benedict' accompanied by spot on service.....Bloody Marvellous

Great spot for pre-match beers away from the hustle and bustle of The Orange Tree. The Scotch Eggs and Sausage Roll bar snacks looked amazing.

Nice pint of beer to start proceedings and friendly, polite staff to welcome you to the pub. Nice range to the menu with a good selection for all tastes and appetites - they even sorted out my mate's son's trauma at having gravy on his plate with no fuss or issue.



My ribeye steak was cooked perfectly (medium), great flavour and right amount of marbling. Would recommend and go again if I'm ever in the area.

Nice atmosphere. Food delicious. Big sharing plates. There was a party of 12 and the table was spacious, the chairs comfortable and the best bit..if there was music it was at a comfortable level- we could hear the conversation of others.
